Fiddy’s Reality Show is Nixed

December 30th, 2008

It only took a month for MTV to pull the plug on rapper 50 Cent’s reality show, “The Money and the Power.” Officials with the station attributed the decision to poor ratings. MTV Entertainment President Brian Gradenthe also cited the network’s desire to find shows that better “reflect Generation ‘Why Not?’—living, working and playing on their own terms, ‘adventure capitalists’ if you will, pursuing a variety of thrill-seeking, 2.0, express-yourself enterprises.”

I personally liked 50 Cent show. To me it showed just what it takes in order to make it. BESIDES, if I wefre gonna use my money to give a person a break in life, I would want to know what type of person is getting this money. These days the money is hard to come by and to keep, and just handing it over to some average joe who would just use it to jack-off with, aint an option for me or anyone. For those that don’t understand, so sorry for you to be that slow minded. But as for me, I hope MTV will reconsider and check with their viewers to find oout what they really like instead of looking at what some report shows. REPORTS CAN AND HAVE BEEN PROVEN TO BE WRONG FROM TIME TO TIME…….WELL MOST OF THE TIME!!!!!!

I watched the show…was wondering why i didnt see it on repeats anymore. It was just too ghetto for me, especially the candidates. At least when Diddy did his show, majority of the candidates knew how to act respectful.

Im kinda disappointed. I liked how he really motivated those people to get bigger and better in business and in life. Its rare that you really see someone from the streets move up to corporate and actually give back by showing and teaching the skills needed to survive in the cutthroat business that is corporate america

I liked the show considering that there are not many good shows on television to watch. Before the show I wasn’t a great fan of 50 but now I see him in a different (more mature) light. I watched every Thursday. Much better than Paris Hilton’s crap show. Maybe the target audience was not interested in learning about business.

I think the show was a nice reality show. Tell you the truth I haven’t watched MTV in so long I can’t remember. They must want a more white oientated show . I hope another station picks it up, I wnat to now who wins.

I didn’t watch it on MTV, but I did watch the reruns on BET. It was pretty good.

The only two people in this world who probably have beds and pillows filled with money are 50 Cent and Scott Boras.

His show would not have gotten cancelled had he brought it to BET. I liked the show, it showed an entreprenural side to Fifty. This man has been through a lot of hardships in his life and it was so inspirational to see him try to give an opportunity to someone else.
. . . .

THE ONLY THING THAT i DIDNT LIKE ABOUT IT IS WHEN FITTY SAYS GET THE F— OUT I DIDNT LIKE HIM SPEAKING TO THEM LIKE THAT SO IT WAS HARD TO WATCH WITH YOUR SONS—I ALWAYS WATCH BLACK SHOWS WITH MY CHILDREN WHICH TEACHES THEM HOW GIVE YOUR PEOPLE RATING AND TO ALSO SHOW THEM THAT IT IS NOTHING TO GET WHAT YOU WANT JUST HARD WORK

His show could not have been any worst than “I Love New York”, “Flava Flav”, “Rock of Love”, “Bad Girls”, “.Hulk Hogan”, “Brooke Knows Best”, “Scott Bao”, “Peter Brady”, and on and on and on………….

I’m highly disappointed in MTV and the 50 haters, his show was really good. I normally don’t watch MTV, but I was follow this show. I didn’t think that I would have time watching a new show with my busy schedule, but after watching the first show on my On Demand, I was hooked. Now, I will never watch MTV again. The channel is racist and the show was good. I was waiting with my family for the next episode and now I won’t even see who wins. Once again, I’m highly disappointed with MTV and I will make sure MTV loses enough viewers so that they go out of business.

The only reality shows that get good ratings consistently are the ones where white people are drunk, fornicating publicly, white girls are making out or fighting topless. That’s what they think we want to see. No morals, values, self respect or self control. Keep watching that trash and that’s what they will keep producing.
