First of all, it should be attempted murder. The suspect stated that he wanted to kill ALL blacks because his wife slept with a black man. The D.A. missed it on this one. Why is it that when a police officer is assaulted with a vehicle the assailant is charged with attempted murder, but this woman’s assailant was only charged with aggravated and simple assault? Does that mean that an officers life is of more value than the public&# 8217;s?

Anywa y, equally as interesting is this tendency with racist to lump all people of a particular race together and hate them all when something happens to them. Its important because his wife could have slept with a white man and I’m almost certain that he wouldn’t have gone on a haunt to kill all white people. We never hear those kinds of stories. The charge is just further affirmation that the American judicial system is racist against blacks. Why a lesser charge for a white criminal and a black victim? We all know the charge would have been more severe had the criminal been a black man and a white woman? This incident happened in Daytona Beach. It is an hour drive from Orlando. Daytona is a racist town. The cops their arrest black people for no reason. I agree with everything that has been said. This was attempted murder in cold blood, and proven by his confession to be pre-meditated. I don’t think there is any need for a psych evaluation. He did the crime and admitted to it, his remarks and confessions were heard by many, and there is no investigation that needs to be done. This is just a slap on the hand, a bad sign in these times when we would have expected our country to come farther than the bigot-fueled hatred and violence of so many years ago.

But I also have to agree with The Truth Speaker. Hatred and Racism knows no color. While it does seem as if the media reports more hate crimes involving whites hurting or killing blacks, I am certain that there are just as many instances of the reverse or crimes involving other races that aren’t reported as often. The media is blinded and manipulated and they do this for the news angle; we must understand that.

With that said though, it is time to stand against this kind of attitude again. our organizations should be finding ways to help this woman receive real justice. Her family and lawyers should be pushing for more severe charges, and the black community needs to make it known that we will NOT stand for this injustice any longer. This country is too overrun with corruption and racism, a country that was built on the backs of our ancestors and other minorities.

In some states a “Hate Crime” brings tougher sentencing, but I agree…Attempted Homicide charges should be added to the list of charges I’m sure he’s been charged with.
