Floyd Mayweather Is Relieved of His Bling
September 4th, 2008Boxing champ’s $7 million in jewelry stolen from his home.
If you run into boxing’s big baller, Floyd “Money” Mayweather, he may be a little light around the neck, wrist and fingers. The recently retired fighter, who was once featured on YouTube.com counting out his cash before all the World Wide Web, evidently attracted attention from thieves who allegedly took $7 million in jewels from Mayweather’s crib. The burglary occurred last month when suspects reportedly entered Pretty Boy’s house through his bedroom window. But Mayweather only recently announced a $100,000 reward for information. At least one of the suspects’ partly concealed face is caught on surveillance video. Too bad Mayweather’s cameras don’t capture intruders as well as his own grill.

I don’t feel sorry for him at all. There are people out here struggling so bad and his is upset about jewelry. Get your priorities straight people.
He’s a cutie!!! But, I bet you that he’s feelin a little dumb-founded about that stuff right now. I hope that they find out who did it and make them pay for the jewelry.
I seen that fool on mtv cribs flashing thous & thous of dollars around,
and pulling out all of his bling for the world to see, and he was bragging
about how he can make it rain with money , don’t he know that there are fools out here that watch his every move. He really put himself out there for the criminal minded person to look at…………….You will never catch Oprah
on mtv flashing her goods…………..
If people read BET comments they would think that we’re all a bunch of small minded, resentful, playa haters with a “barrel of crabs syndrome”. We’re not though. Some of us understand perfectly that pride proceeds a fall. Some of us understand that many (not all) who have nothing and are barely making it, are doing so because they refuse to put forth the effort, energy and time it takes to get ahead. Some of us know that there is no justification for criminal activity. The only kind of lawbreaking that deserves to be overlooked or defended is if someone was starving and they eat some food in a market. Mayweather may have let his pride get the best of him when he flossed for the whole world to see, but its his stuff, that he earned legally and he has a right to do with it what he pleases, without being robbed, because some lazy, anti-social criminal bum feels like its a good idea to take someone’s hard earned money or property from them just because they know where its at. Those are the people that I have no sympathy for. If they get caught and the police beat them down, I don’t want to hear none of you crying racism and injustice. We need to adopt a zero tolerance for any kind of crime. Criminals and thugs aren’t my heroes. Hardworking, law-abiding, respectful folks get my props.
Gary I agree with ev ery word that you’ve said, but best believe alot of our people won’t let any of your words merinate in their mental rolladex.
it’s messed up how people are saying thats good for floyd. how can you say that. that man has worked hard for what he got. it’s not right for people to take it. have you followed him around everyday. how do you know that he doesn’t volunteer his time and money to help the less fortunate? i doesn’t matter that he is flashy, it’s his. how would you feel if it happened to you?
BRAVO GARY IN PISMO……BRAVO!!!!
Finally….a realist. you are so on point with EVERYTHING you say…it’s scary…and sad at the same time…
I bet Floyd wants to beat everbodys ass .. The dog..the cat..The fish in his tank…His girl.. All his friends…Father..I won’t say his mamma I may see him one day and get ..”F..ed..up”..
I listen to these cats talkn about if he helped other people out.Damn thats cold to say,if I sacrificed my life for a career then I would help people but you cant help everybody out.Sometimes people got to help themselves.Thats a setup, anybody can see that.
that just goes to show people invest their money on the wrong things. 7 million in jewelry is a lil ridiculous. I am not hating I like to see black people do well for themselves. but had he not invested soo much $ in dat jewely he wouldn’t be so devastated about it missing. that is a lot of money and apparently he is going to suffer a big loss if it is not returned. lesson learned start investing in the right things and when you have reached the highest level of wealth that U feel u possibly could, then you can play with money. I bet if Donald trump lost that much $ in jewelry, yea he may be a bit stunned but I guarantee it will be replaced asap mainly cus he has it insured. Get ur priorities in check people.
This bastard is straight from the hood. Knows nothing about giving back or investing in his future. He is “hood rich”. I don’t care for him, i don’t care how much money he may have, he is still ignorant!
Its a crying shame that people are praying on other people stuff and not even going out and working for there ownn belongings what are the priorities of young and the old these days , When it comes to working for something that you work so hard for and for someone else to break-in your home that your sweat and tears bought that mean that you are not safe just walking around with your own jewelry own in the public in fera that some-one will hold you up in the broad daylight and take you stuff . Now Mr. Mayweather worked very hard for his things and to me its not right that some-one visits his home and spot-out on how they are going to take his belonging from him to me it had to be some-one that was very close and already knew where he kept everything.
It it ridicules to have 7 million dollars worth of bling when there’s people out there starving, most likely he had insurance anyway,so his pride is hurt more then his pockets, I would think??…………7 mill worth of bling and no state of the art security system ??
Gary if our people would learn to have a mind like yours, we could get somewhere. The jewelry is his property, and a crime is a crime. But like DaddyRich said, no state of the art security system (raises a question here). Also, how would they know where he his jewelry at, unless it was an inside job perhaps. I mean the criminal climb through his bedroom window, and no guards notice this. Did anybody see criminals leaving.
Who in their right mind owns $7 milliion worth of jewelry anyway. That’s money he could donate to schools or a charity. Stupid is as stupid does.
It’s not a black or white thing ,Floyd was just stupid, criminal ’s been around
since the begining of time. Floyd was a fool to floss like that on national
TV and we human’s are not perfect and there some very criminal minded
people out there……………….
What did he expect. There are people out here that are starving and need money and he should not have put his money out there like that. If you are in the position to have money then you are in the position to give some of that money back into the community. To make others life a little easier. Also, Floyd get better security. MMMMMM-K
Lesson learned Prettyboy!! Got some more?? In case you do, more thieves will be watching!!!!!
That’s what he get 4 flashin. Never flash money when the world is going through tough times.
Mayweather, no doubt worked hard for his success, however, you also have to continue that ethic in not being a showoff and inviting criminals to such a lucrative environment. It’s called Thinking!
