Giants’ Receiver Gets a Rare Legal Win
January 15th, 2009N.Y. Giants receiver Plaxico Burress got a rare legal win Wednesday when a Pennsylvania jury sided with the troubled baller in a civil dispute over an impounded vehicle. Fred Laurenzo, who owns a car dealership in Lebanon, Pa., loaned Burress a 2004 Avalanche truck, worth $36,000, in exchange for autograph signings and other publicity events. But New York City Police impounded the truck, telling Laurenzo that it had been involved in a crime. He said that Burress never contacted police to resolve the matter, and it remained in custody for about a year. Laurenzo sued for $19,000. But a jury awarded him only $1,700, the amount that Burress had contended he was responsible for. Burress still faces gun charges after shooting himself in the leg in a New York restaurant.

You know Plaxico makes all this money & if he wants to throw his career away why just give his pay check to some one who really needs it. I really don’t understand these NFL Players you make all this damn money and still want to act dumb as hell. Did they just forget about common sense or really just do care. Bottom Line why pay them the big bucks to F**K when you have others out there that would love to have the chance to have their spots and do some good. I don’t know but all I can say is that too many F**K ups are in the NFL and need to take a good look at themselves because 1 minute you want this career and the next it can be taken away from you. This is coming from a women that is a die hard GIANTS fan and just loves the game. Someone has to have an answer to these NFL players!

Anyway, as a big time football fan, I can say that it is sad to see people who have so much talent and get paid so much money drag their lives through the dirt. You know what though, we all have to learn from our mistakes, it is just when they get common since, their loss is bigger than ours most of the time.
I agree with Dotty these fools ain’t learned yet.They better pay attention to what they did to O.J.Simpson who thought that he would never,ever end up behind bars for being dumb and stupid at the same time.They used O.J.Simpson as a prime eample that who cares that you are a star athlete you do the crime your ass should do the time as well forget about how much money you make.In his case all the money in the world didnt keep him from going to jail.
