Hate-monger Blasts Away In Tennessee Church.
July 28th, 2008Jim D. Adkisson allegedly shot to death two people and seriously wounded five others. Knoxville , Tenn. , Police are trying to determine whether to charge a madman with a hate crime who busted into a church and blasted away, killing two people and leaving five others in serious or critical condition. People scurried under pews or ran from the church as 58-year-old Jim D. Adkisson began firing, witnesses said. But Greg McKendry, 60, who was killed in the melee, is being hailed as a hero because “he stood in front of the gunman and took the blast to protect the rest of us,” Barbara Kemper, a member of the Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church, told The Associated Press. Also killed was Linda Kreager, 61, died at the University of Tennessee Medical Centre a few hours after the shooting, a city spokesman told AP. Witnesses said that many of the 200 congregants, who had gathered at the church watch a play, pounced on Adkisson and detained him until the police arrived. Kemper told police that said that the alleged shooter shouted before he fired his shotgun. “It was hateful words. He was saying hateful things,” she said, refusing to repeat what the gunman said. Adkission’s motivation is unknown. The church, which promotes social progressive work and desegregation, among what many would consider liberal issues, has provided sanctuary for political refugees, fed the homeless and founded a chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union, AP reports, citing the church Web site. The FBI is assisting with the investigation, in case it is deemed a hate crime, according to AP. Watch the video below.

Oh so bad things happen in white churches to huh? When something happens in one of our black community churches it’s no big deal just another shooting, but when it’s those evil ass white ppl everybody & their mother comes with help. Let this be a lesson, bad things can happen to everyone, your white skin is not a shield….. And the FBI?????????

It was a church full of white devils, one just got out of control. They want to bring out the FBI when a white church get’s shot up, well it’s not going to do any good cause the Satan’s people, evil, hateful, racist white people…..
Didn’t look like a church anyway, just an evil building for those evil racist whites……………….What goes around comes around, maybe it’s their payback ……..
Now that I think of it the Virginia Tech lunatic, Seung-Hui Cho does have a lot of characteristics that resembled our UMLAW (resident law student and voice of reason for all African Americans). They are both ASIAN AMERICANS students obsessed with another cultures activities and lifestyle. They both have NO real friends and spend an unnatural amount of time online aruging with strangers that they hate and feel superior to. They harbor all sorts of anger and resentment and frustrations about people they are jealous of and the next thing you know they have an arsenal of weapons and ammunition and.. .then KABOOM!!!

God don’t like ugly no matter your race, but it’s really said when a person goes into a white church and shoot it up, it’s televised, but when it happens in an African-American church, we get a 1/4 of a page in the newspaper. God rains on the just as well as the unjust. He’s sitting on His throne looking down on all of us, AND HE IS NOT PLEASED!!!!!! I’m not a person to take sides on the church, but it hurts my heart when the shoe is on the other foot. As for the victoms in the HATE crime, you and your families are in my prayers. As for the bereaved families your loved ones are in a better place where they won’t have to endure this mess anymore. Keep the faith and stay in God’s word and you will meet them again someday. As for Mr. Adkisson, pray for him as well because he need Jesus the most.

George states that he believes that Unitarian’s deny Christ’s divinity. That is not exactly true. They leave it up to their members to worship as they see fit, and embrace those who draw from other spiritual understandings from all mainstream religions.
But more importantly, they carry out the creed of Jesus to love God with all your heart, and love your brother (sister) as yourself. Just as white Quakers assisted the underground railroad during slavery, Unitarian’s have actively been involved in the advancement of civil rights for the past 100 years.
Please don’t condemn others, because they follow a different understanding of God or have different skin color; especially when they actively volunteer for groups such as NAACP and ACLU.
Anybody who dares to commit such acts in the house of the Lord is a child of satan and will be dealth with by GOD worst than any judicial system can image. Read the sciptures…you don’t play with GOD and you dare not touch his annointed. Believe that!!!
UMLAW……YOU seem to understand all I say ,that is all that is needed to change a world or a nut. As for your mental state of mind everyday your hatred is enforced by your words, you are on the path of destruction. It first starts with words of debate then when you can’t convince the people that you are targeting you can become violent. Now if you can’t comprehend that the Vtech shooter was a lunatic and his actions had nothing to do with his race, then that’s on you. If you are going to state that because of this ONE isolated incident, that Asians are inclined to kill, then what would one say about African Americans in terms of crime??
It is very unfortunate to me that some of you all are really making this a race issue. As people of God we should be simpathizing with this church and the family of the deceased. I am a black male, but none of that matters when it comes to this tragedy that some of us have seen and others have heard about. It really don’t matter who get the tv time or who don’t when a thing like this happen. My prayers are with the family and friends. God bless you all and I pray fot a peaceful recovery.

I sit and think about how this world has took a drastic change in under at least 2 years It seems to me that people are on the verge to flipping out so that alone should let people know that the end is near as I type right now .Now why would this man go into a strange church and start people for nothing when all they were doing was worshiping god Do you mean to tell me that the lords house is not safe from the devil anymore.

Far too often evil reigns in the media. According to the Associated Press this church did alot for their community & the world. The “good” that came from that church did not catch the eye of the Associated Press, ABC, NBC, or BET until an “evil” individual entered and commited a vicious act.
WE (MEANING HUMANS) MUST & CAN COME TOGETHER AS ONE (1), TO END THIS TREACHERY THAT HAS SCARRED HUMANITY FAR TOO LONG!

There are evil people all around us everyday they always tell you you “Oh I Am a Christian” and they gossip, say all kinds of evil things/thoughts. And they make up lie’s on people this is where the evilness is and they say all in the name of God. One person on my job that is full of gossip try to quote scripture to me and told me how she hated the secretary.
I do not believe in labeling certain killings as “hate” crimes. KILLING anybody is very much a hate crime no matter what race the victim or the killer is. This world has evil people in it and through all the tragedy around us God will comfort us all. If justice is slow here in this world it will be swift in Heaven. May God bless all the people effected by the shooting.
