Worthy, Snoop was a “Hood figure” that the Producers of the show spotted in a night club, and she “Looked” perfect for the part. The problem is she has been “Type-Cast” so now thats all any producer will see her as. If she had dreames of becoming an actress then maybe she would have moved. But my understanding is that, B-more is her home and that is where she wants to be.

I think this is a sad case, but the justice system will do what it has to do to get people(regular and A-List folks) to talk. They knew the could not really hold her long for not wanting to testify but they fiqure if they hold her on a possession charge. She made it real easy for them to detain her.

I think Shernita said it best regarding why Snoop is in trouble with the police. For those saying she needs to leave Baltimore, there is more to Baltimore than what is seen on the Wire and I doubt she still lives in the hood she grew up in. Sure there are probably people she does not need to associate with anymore but I don’t know her personally so I won’t go into that. Also, I don’t know how she would just move to LA (for example) when I don’t see any other people required to move from their hometown everytime trouble comes around them. I will admit, I do not follow her activities outside of the Wire so I don’t know if she has been in any other trouble since appearing on the show.

She has a long history of criminal activity in Baltimore before the show. So Baltimore is not the best place for her if she wants to succeed. Of course all of Baltimore is not bad but some areas really are. You know how some people need to get out of certain areas otherwise there is always gonna be some mess. Especially where she grew up and has family. She has a bad history there. Common sense dictates that a move is smart. It’s not a coincidence that she was in the position to witness this knife attack. It’s par for the course. She said it all herself in her book. Plus having lived briefly in Baltimore myself and in Maryland for 8 years…I know the areas. I also know many people that left those areas because Baltimore is too small for some to avoid trouble. And she has too much bad history there. She’s seen and done too much.
