HD-720 Spawns a New Way to Game

You’ve got a serious hankering to get some heavy-duty gaming going but all the TV’s in the house are being used to watch drivel like “Real Chance of Love 2″ or “The Real Housewives of Atlanta”. What do you do? If you’re smart, you’ll smile, walk away and go turn on your computer. Why? Because, thanks to Spawn Labs, you can now play your favorite console games from the comfort of your comp.
Spawn Labs recently unveiled the HD-720, a device that allows users to stream video games over a viable network connection. So say you’re off on a business trip halfway across the world and you really want to finish that next level on Batman: Arkham Asylum you started before you left. No problem, simply find somewhere with broadband action and its game on.
So how does the HD-720 do it? Compatible with PlayStation 3, PlaySation 2, Xbox 360, and Nintendo Gamecube (what no Wii?), the device turns your console into a server that streams your games anywhere in the world at 30 framerates per sec at up to a 720p resolution. And to up the ante, Spawn Labs is also letting your buddies get in on the action by allowing them to access your console for a little co-op or PvP action. Or they can choose to just sit back and peep the hot fragging action from their location.
The going rate for a HD-720 is $199 not counting the additional $30 for the corresponding console gamepad(s) necessary to play your game. A little steep, but this is an awesome gadget for a gamer that wants the ability to game whenever and wherever.
