Find out what is needed and desired.
Formulate a plan and keep the solution(s) in focus.
Maintain contact with those in need.
Above all, you must care about the people involved,
care about your involvement in the situation,
and care about the outcome.

well put Sharlette… how do u suppose one inspires hope in a society, economy, and personalities are hopeless? Fatherless sons and motheless daughters? how do make our family units whole again?

Hope and Care
Our youth are lacking two vital components for rationalization.
What would keep anyone from killing someone?
Either you care or you don’t. Either you have hope that things will get better or you don’t.
Talk to a killer. Ask them why they took a life. The most prevalent answer would be they “just didn’t care.”
And, somewhere in their dialogue with you, they’ll say the person had it coming, which allows you to see they didn’t have hope in them either.
If we seek to tighten the youths bonds with those in society who do care, the youths might more readily rationalize their possibilities through hope.
