If The Cops Had Listened, A 4-year-old Would Still Be Alive

The young mother dialed 911 the day before her son was shot to death.
The day before Stephanie Thompson’s 4-year-old boy was shot to death, she called police to say that there was a man riding a bicycle around her Camden , N.J. , neighborhood with a machine gun. When police finally did show up, Brandon Thompson lay dead on the sidewalk in a pool of blood. He had been shot in the head. “I watched my baby get shot,” Stephanie Thompson, 21, told The Philadelphia Inquirer. “I couldn’t get to him fast enough. I called 911 and told them. He was just riding around. It wasn’t like he was hidin’ it. This could have been avoided if they had done their job. Police acknowledge that Stephanie Thompson had called police about the man with the machine gun, but they are questioning whether that was the weapon used to kill Brandon , the Inquirer reports. Police also say that the boy ran into crossfire and was killed. Stephanie says that her son was playing in the street when the alleged shooter, Donald Lindsey, showed up with his machine gun. Stephanie Thompson told authorities that she heard a series of short, staccato blasts and ran to find her son. As she rounded the corner, she saw Brandon running toward her on the sidewalk, the Inquirer reports. The man on the bicycle saw him, took aim and shot him down, according to Stephanie Thompson. “I went to go pick him up and he had blood coming from everywhere. I just held him and told him to get up,” she said. “But he wouldn’t get up. He was only 4. And he was trying to run to his mommy. I couldn’t get there in time.” Camden arrived a few minutes too late. “The cops came and took my baby to the hospital and we wasn’t even there 5 minutes and he died,” she said. “He (Lindsey) looked me dead in my face when my son got shot. He knew he shot my son and he looked at me,” she said.
U know what!! Aint nothing gon ever get resolved until blacks get they @#$ together. White people DONT CARE!!! About black boys, black men,or black females. We got to get it together and as long as we keep killing each other and acting in this manner. they’ll sit back and laugh..ANOTHER #~@@#* DEAD; WHO CARES.. GOD WILL FIX THIS. BUT IN HIS TIME; THEN IT WILL ALL BE OVER FOR EVERYONE BLACKs AND WHITEs. But until then blacks have to care like back in the day 4 real.. Police and the gov’t can stop the LA gang warfare but they won’t. And why is that???? Open your eyes… White people can stop everything.. But God is the only one who can stop them….That child is one of many… This happens everyday. But not in the white community..Why u see whites move when blacks move in their neighborhoods????

My heart honestly goes out to this mother, and her family. The senseless killing must stop!!! With the war killing one half of our black community and these type of killings are taking out the other half, we are about to become obsolete. Can someone aswer a question for me? Wasn’t the Million Man March supposed to help deviate from such crimes? Our Black men are becoming an endangered species at their own hands. Something’s really wrong with that.

My heart goes out to the Mother the killing amoung black people is out of control. I’m a Mother of 3 and i can’t imagine what that must be like to witness your child being gunned down right in front of her eyes. This is a prmie example of the end times. We just dont value life anymore. May God have mercy on his soul he will pay for this for the rest of his natural life. If he makes that far.

This is even more sad than the father who killed and burned his own children. I think this is a serious sign that the world needs to really focus on. We have to protect our children and not only ours but look out for others children also. When i say protect I mean PRAY PRAY PRAY COVERING OVER YOUR CHILDREN GOING AND COMING!!! As a single mother we can loose focus sometimes but NEVER STOP PRAYING My heart truly goes out to this young lady and her family I Pray that peace and comfort will surround her and strength will be given. As for the ignorant comments from SUNSHINE & J SJUNE both of you will get your day real real soon. To say and speak something like that is heartless and extremely stupid, but it is obvious that your parents didn’t raise you right or threw you away because of the hatred in you heart, either way watch what you say to people and how you say it SICKNESS, INCURABLE DISEASES, DEATH can all come up on you. Just from you language and the way you speak lets me know your LUCIFERS CHILDREN I FEEL SO SORRY FOR YOUR SOUL.

I have as yet to be a mother, but as a woman who one day hopes to become one, my heart goes out to that mother. I pray GOD grabs her up and hold her especially close right now in her time of need. Is it me or is time repeating itself. With everything we see going on in the news; have we really got back to the point were the police have started back OPENLY ignoring black concerns. Now had that been anywhere else or had that call came from anywhere else, wouldn’t it have been taken seriously. A man can walk down the street with a Karan in his hand and it is taken serious, but a man with a dangerous weapon visably shown does not get approached. Time is of the essence my people. STAY ENCOURAGED and ENCOURAGE OTHERS.

Whoa this is sad if the police would have been on their job this young lady would have her son right now and the stupid a** man he need to be beat down for really and they need to throw the book at him when the catch him and that sunshine b**** she need to put her self in this and think about if it was her that it happen to that shows how ignorant she is talking about who care she need the beat down her self
My heart goes out to this young woman and her family during these times. What is this world coming to? It is so sad that our children (our future) can’t even go outside and play innocently in the streets anymore. I know this baby’s life was cut entirely too short but God is too wise to make any mistakes.
ms.stephanie thompson my condolences go out to you and your family i hope you just trust in god to help you through this and sunshine i know what it feels like to lose someone like that and if you haven’t lost someone like that don’t say anything as a matter of fact don’t say anything at all you are so negative and i am sure if you were dead right now i am sure you wouldn’t want people to be saying o who cares if (sunshine) is dead so stop making negative comments
