Quite frankly, all African-Americans & other ethnicities are of mixed blood! PALIN went to seven different colleges to obtain a degree. She married a made w/no skills on NOTHING, but making babies and anybody can do that. American we all did the right thing a voted for a very smart man. It may take a while for him to fix so many problems that BUSH created 4 us, but I believe and many do that he will do the right thing. And for Michele the FIRST LADY to be u go girl. Todd, well said. Oprah Winfrey is a living legend.First black female african american Billionaire. The Angel network ,Harpo studio,The O magazine, O at home magazine,Oprah Winfrey Network. her radio show and sooooo many other pots her hands are in. Im sure that her show takes up alot of her time and there is most likely somethingelse stirring in the Winfrey kitchen, this isn’t goodbye this is a celebration! A black Woman which has shot to billionaire status has been on the same show(her show) for 25-27 years that is no small accomplishment. I am probably the Biggest Oprah Winfrey fan in the World and will surely miss her, but i have understood and have known for soetmes now that Opah is a GOD SENT and she still has work to do. Supporting Obama in spite of the fact that more than half of her viewers are white women is to be revered. kudos to you Lady O, I love you and have always loved you and will always love , may God continue to bless you and use you. YOU GO GIRL,YOU ARE TRULY A LIVING HERO!

Oprah deserves everything she gets. She has worked so hard, never allowing anything to get in her way. She is an open and honest woman who stands up for what she believes in and that is something to be respected for. I know she will succeed at whatever she chooses to do. This forum is supposed to be about what we think of her continuing with new ventures not about how blacks have been wronged. If you truly look into American history the blacks were not the only people who were treated poorly, almost every culture that makes up our American stew has been put down and degraded, yes some may have been paid but it was such a pitiful sum of money that many families still died off trying to achieve what they thought would be a new life. It is great for us all to embrace our cultures and remember our ancestors but don’t just believe that whites all inherited the opportunity, wealth and privilege. Many whites still have to overcome many obstacles to obtain these things. I, being a white woman with exceptional grades, could not get grants for college because I was considered standard, even though my family was extremely poor. I was raised by my grandparents after my mother died, but even that didn’t count toward anything because they felt my good grades showed I had overcome that adversity. Now I have paid off all my loans after 10 years. Anyone who works hard and doesn’t give up will succeed. There is proof of that in our President-elect Obama. He has worked hard his whole life and the majority of Americans believe he WILL make our country greater.
