Is There Trouble in Oprahland?
May 27th, 2008There appears to be a few tremors in Oprahland. The talk-show diva’s TV ratings are down, and according to critics, it’s all because she decided to back Democratic presidential frontrunner Barack Obama. Most of Oprah’s viewers are either White middle-aged women, who have put their support behind Hillary, or Republican voters, according to The New York Times. Shortly after Oprah announced she was backing Obama in October, a Gallup Poll found that her “favorable” rating tanked to 66 percent, from 74 percent in January 2007. Her “unfavorable” mark jumped by more than half, from 17 percent to 26 percent. Robert Madden, a senior executive vice president at CBS Television Distribution, which oversees the syndication of “The Oprah Winfrey Show,” said, “Ratings are down just because there are other things people are doing.” Should O be worried? What do you think the reason is for her decline in ratings?
She’s something else,the little black girl raise in the baptist church,and when she got her first job she thank the LORD for all her blessing’s.
Now that GOD brought her this far,she now claim

ask her what about JESUS and her answers was
“yeal and” what about him”…..in other word JESUS

I doubt it’s her religous views that reduced her ratings,people watch programs with people of all types of religious views.I think it’s because she supports Sen. Obama.Oprah’s main target audience is white women,the same white women that support Hillary and as a result there is backlash.After the election her ratings will rebound.
I feel she shows alot of favortism to caucasians. I am in no way racist but it’s true. I believe her backing obama has alot to do with with her ratings dropping.
ms. winfrey’s worth $2.5 billion she can buy the whole damm election.

i’m sure that her ratings has nothing to do with her choice to back obama…her shows are tired. she talks about the same things over and over. i stopped watching oprah years ago because her shows focused on topics fit for ‘white’ audiences. hell, even her magazine is tired. it is time fr her to retire.
Dang people are trippin on this post big time. All that ~*$#@?% talkin is crazy. Oprah has opened a ton of doors for a lot of people. And has done a ton that has gone un-noticed. I give Oprah props because she knows how to play the game and she plays it well. Though I am not a regular viewer of her show I’ll always have love for Oprah – one of the more positive folks out there.
At the End of the Day…..Oprah is BLACK.
And will support BLACK
and all you white women who thought she was white…… hahhahahahahaha at you!
Oprah should understand it is God, the one she doesn’t claim who gave her the ability to generate wealth. Mark my words, within 2 years, her ratings will drop and her television (HARPO) studio and production company will suffer enormous losses. One thing God will do is humble people and countries who forget or deny him. All you have to do is look through history and see the pattern. Remember Oprah, you can’t take wealth with you when you die and God, the one you deny also holds the key to your health and sanity. I would be careful how I get a haudy spirit. It’s not nice when God, the one you deny humbles you.
Make no mistake, Oprah has done a lot of good for a lot of people; but that doesn’t give her the right to become high-minded and suddenly think she’s her own God. Remember religion doesn’t make God, man makes religion. God is and always was and always will be. The Lord God gives and the Lord God takes away, Blessed be the name of the Lord God.

Oprah really should not care she should be able to support any candidate she likes. I’m glad that she is standing up for Obama. They stand for who they choose and do not care if african americans or other minority supports them only to use the minorities vote. You Go Oprah. Forget the ratings YOU ARE RICH & RICH PEOPLE DO NOT GIVE A DAM.
Oprah cannot be on top forever, her ratings have dipped before and came back up. Besides I don’t believe it has anything to do with her support for Barack, that is just another attempt by the media, Geraldine Ferraro/Hillary Clinton (types) to scare people from voting for Barack.

i don’t think oprah would have said anything about obama if she wasn’t a billiaone she knows now that no one can touch her now because she was already in favor of her people getting on top so she played the game with the whites now she is really keeping it real. !G-O !O-P-R-A-H!!!!
