Jackson-Obama flap heats up as Jesse issues a denial

. Barack Obama’s campaign gave a swift response Wednesday to comments that the Rev. Jesse L. Jackson was said to have made to The New York Post over Obama’s foreign policy plans. The Post reported that Jackson said that an Obama White House would no longer be friendly to Israel. John McCain’s campaign seized on the remarks to suggest that his Democratic opponent would not be a strong supporter of Israel if elected president, while Jackson issued a statement saying he had been misquoted and his comments distorted.  The Obama campaign has furiously denied the charge and said it will continue to support Israel. Read his statement here.

Seriously why is Mr. Jackson mad or is he? I mean come on Obama can do some great things for this economy and the world cause we need it, some people can’t believe that a black man is running for president, well people believe it cause we are making history. Obama is the right person for this job, I’m not just saying that cause he’s black because that is not the case he has great plans for the economy, so if your voting for Obama or McCain stand up for what you believe in. Rev. Jesse Jackson don’t say anything negative about Obama he’s a good man God didn’t judge you, and you have Reverend in front of your name you need a reality check Mr. Jackson. !!!!!!!

Yo my black brothers and sisters, open your eyes and see that WE is the racists in this election! Almost all blacks be voting for obama cuz hes black too. What if the white people did the same? Some of us needs to vote for the other guy so that we doesnt look like racists and thats why my family will vote for mccain. Obama could lose because of our racisms and whites dont say it, but they be saying they support obama, but they be voting for mccain cuz noone will be watching them vote in the boof.

First of all Jesse, you should be in admiration of Obama for even making it this far. He has come further than you ever have. He has made HISTORY in this country. Even if you disagree or agree, don’t rain on his champaign! He gets enough negativity as it is from other non educated people in this country ie. media, people who are not following the debates, people who don’t vote. When I say “non educated”, I don’t mean school education, I mean non educated of understanding what he stands for, what he’s trying to do. Some people may not want to vote for him just because he is Black, but guess what, our current president is White and we are in a bigger mess than ever before. Obama being Black should not be the issue. Who is better qualified for running this country? So Jesse please put your time and energy into some more positive things instead of trying to spit venom on Obama. Get out and tell people to make sure they VOTE on the upcoming election!!! That would be a good start for you and keep quiet after that!

LaMont Allen you have the nerve. As you know this is the first time in this country history that millions of white folks have supported a black politician for president. You seem to forget that black folks have always supported a white politician for president.

hey Jesse please can u just be quiet…quit being that way. your time is up. pleaz go somewhere, rest and forget about Obama..

Jesse should just leave President Obama alone! Jesse had an opportunity to accomplish what PRESIDENT OBAMA has, but chose to not help the local people of Chicago and make kids in India.

I think that Jesse Jackson is jealous of Obama. The reason is because when he ran for president he didn’t get that far. Obama has so many people supporting him black and white. Jesse was totally opposite. I think it is so sad when your own color try to put you down but no weapons formed against Obama shall prosper. Jesse Jackson needs to just shut-up. Because everytime I see him on television he makes me sick. To tell the truth I never liked him anyway. Everytime he say something regarding Obama it is negative. Also he might as well get use to the idea because Obama will be the next president. I was glad to see that Colin Powell is voting for Obama that should tell people a whole lot.

IM SO SICK OF PEOPLE LIKE AL SHARPTON AND JESSE JACKSON THEY’RE WASHED UP AND WE DON’T NEED THEM RUNNING THEIR MOUTHS ABOUT A SERIOUS PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE LIKE MR. OBAMA. JESSE’S RUN FOR PRESIDENT WAS A LAUGH AND WE AS BLACK FOLK WOULDNT HAVE VOTED FOR HIM ANYWAY. I JUST WISH THEY WOULD SHUT THE HELL UP INSTEAD OF USING THEIR TWO MINUTES OF FAME TO GIVE THE MEDIA A CHANCE TO CHOP UP THEIR WORDS.

I know I’m waaay late getting on board about this situation. Annette not only is Jesse not an insider, but he isn’t a suppoter either. He was caught on national television saying nasty things about Barak and caught , we’d think he’d keep his comments to himself, but nooo he’s got to run that mouth of his. I think there may be a little bit of jealousy because Barak is doing what Jesse couldn’t. All believers, keep him deep prayer. don’t hate him just pray fro him God bless one and all.
