Call him the “king of bling” or the “hip-hop hookup,” but for the next 2 ½ years, Jacob Arabov will be known as a federal prisoner after pleading guilty Tuesday to lying to prosecutors probing a multi-state drug ring. The 43-year-old Russian immigrant must also cough up $50,000 in fines and kick down the government to the tune of $2 million in forfeiture payment. “I feel ashamed that I broke the laws of this country, a country that has been so good for me,” Arabov said. “I will carry this shame for the rest of my life.” It could have been much worst for Abrabov, who authorities accused of conspiring to launder an estimated $270 million in profits for Detroit’s “Black Mafia Family” drug ring during the 1990s. At the recommendation of prosecutors, U.S. District Judge Avern Cohn imposed a minimum sentence of three years and one month. He lopped off another seven months from that, noting the defendant’s longtime charity work. He was arrested two years ago at his New York City jewelry store, which was frequented by many of the biggest names in the music industry. Do you think the sentence was fair?

This is real bad for him and the community that he resides in. If this man was such a giving person then he should be made to give his time doing community service to under previldged children and older people. Make him spend some of the money building houses for homless people and work @ the local Wal-mart as a greeter with a sign hangin around his neck stating that he tried to be a part of a drug ring this country.

Jacob will be and is fine, all y’all that’s trippin’ about nationality need to freeze the hype, the program is the program. You need to vote and stop stressing about someone who is rich out of jail, will be rich in jail, and will get richer when he get out. He probably will invest his money in a stock or cd like we don’t do, we spend every cent we make to keep up with the Jones’ and be mad when someone else make it. Study his stategy and stop hatin’. No, this sentence is not fair considering the courts were getting ready to sentence R-Kelly to 15 years in prison, Adam Jones suspended for the whole 2007 season, Mike Vick Sentenced for dog fighting. Hell no the government is so corrupt but what should we expect. We live in a country where society lets go what they want to go.
This sentence is too light. He should do at least 40 years with no parole
We all know the only reason he got JAIL time is because Uncle Sam didn’t get his share.
