If both the Asian race and Black race in the US were the exact same, you both would have a great/valid point…BUT THEY’RE NOT. I don’t want to get into this rant b/c then one is being racist. Again, i never try to paint a whole race something…only a subgroup. Why can’t you understand this?? It’s not ALL BLACKS that are violent criminals. And it’s more than ’speaking positively about each other’ that is wrong…it’s standing up for the criminals and evil persons just because he is of the same race as the commenter. William Balfour seems like an ideal subject for us to take our anger and frustration on; like a human punching bag. He has a criminal history which paints a picture of bad individual. He even looks like a loser. So far the case against him looks like an easy one for the prosecution. I’m sure that Mr. Balfour is also guilty of other crimes.
All this brings me to this question: What if he is innocent of the charges of murdering the mother, brother and nephew of Jennifer Hudson??? Other than for the alleged parole violation, I will presume that he is innocent until proven guilty. The burden of proving guilt falls on the court, which hopefully will be fair. If he the jury finds him guilty, I hope that the judge follows the appropriate sentencing guidelines (instead of using him as an example). He must be judged by the evidence and not on our opinions.

Again I TOTALLY disagree with your reliance on Justice dept. stats. because of the bias in reporting black crime rates. They are slanted and therefore unreliable. Also, the reason you get so many hateful messages is NOT because you speak the truth (the entire black race on BET is not biased or in denial as you like to think) but because of the obvious negative slant against blacks that is inherent in ALL your comments. CONSTANTLY pointing out black crimes ONLY does nothing for the moral of those blacks who are law abiding. In comparison black stats might be high BUT that represents a minority of the black community! Just like you can find a stat to distort the truth, I can find a stat to support the truth.
