Jennifer Hudson’s Bro-in-Law Awaits Formal Charges
December 2nd, 2008

Jennifer Hudson’s bro-in-law awaits formal charges. The estranged brother-in-law of Jennifer Hudson, arrested Monday, is in a Chicago jail this morning, awaiting formal charges in the slaying of the singer/actress’s mother, brother and nephew. William Balfour went from person of interest to prime suspect Monday when police arrested him in connection with the Oct. 24 shooting deaths of the Dreamgirls star’s relatives. Read the rest here.

Although the finally got the evidence to arrest the brother in law, I just feel there is more to the story and it will come out in the end. I am sad to see not just an innocent young boy taken away, but I am also sad to see that the loving and caring mother and the protective uncle lose their lives to a senseless crime. We as a society need to make a change into the things that we will idolize and put in front of our young impressionable children. My prayers go out to the Hudson family as well as the perps family, may GOD bless them all thru this tragic event.
There is a typo! A huge mistake it says that “julia” was found 3 days later dead! It’s “Julian” her son. Please correct this and get your facts straight!
YES TERRY I TOTALLY AGREE…. I too believe that there is more to this story than we’ll probably find out in a long time. Everything just seems so sketchy… like the motive just doesn’t add up that it was simply a dispute over a car (and/or other small disputes)… Then there’s the whole debate of how the mother (Julia) reacted and speaking about her son in past tense before it was even discovered that he was dead…. i just don’t know…………………………….
BET.com is so ridiculous when it comes to all the grammatical errors… They don’t even proof-read their stuff before putting out there.
Well hopefully Jenifer’s sister leans a very valuable lesson from this, don’t settle for a piece of a man just to say that you have a man. It’s better to be single than to accept a piece of &*^% of a man who is of no worth to anyone, not even himself.
Black people you to learn how to separate fact from fiction. To often black people have this preconceived thought about a person before the evidence come in. To many black men are in jail because of this opinionated idea of a black man and often time he is guilty without a trial. A man should not be found guilty absent of the evidence. In other words, black people suspend your opinions about this black man before the facts come in. I understand clearly how this American criminal justice system works. It will fabricate, manipulate, use words in the media to make you appear guilty, and you may not even be guilty of the charges against you. We seem to forget very easily how a lot of black men are found guilty, not because of the crime committed, but more so, because of the bias of people and many time by prosecutors over zealousness of a case. Lets wait and see what the facts are before we judge this black man’s guilt or innocence. I am not saying that there are no good investigators who will be fare, but there are some investigators who lie and falsify reports and evidence to get a conviction. Those are just the realities many black men face in and by this judicial system in America. IT”S FLAT OUT CORRUPT AND BROKEN, BY WICKED PEOPLE IN POWER AND THEY KNOW WHO THEY ARE.
HE DINT DO NOTHIN THE RACIST POLICE FRAMIN HIM UP TO COVER UP FOR SOME WHITE SEREAL KILLER THEY THE ONES THAT DO THIS FOWL SHYT
FREE WILLIAM BALFOUR
Shaonda get a crip, you know he’s guilty as sin! & when the evidence comes out don’t act surprised.
The system is flawed. Some prosecuters seem more concerned with the establishment of guilt and scoring a conviction of the one who is accused than being absolutely sure that the accused is guilty.
The biggest risk of being Black is being the victim of mistaken identity. It’s even worse when the witness is white or a member of any ethnic group that is not familiar with black folk. Anyone who has ever said “They all look alike” is not a reliable eyewitness.
My condolences to Jennifer Hudson … I don’t know about anyone else – but I remembered watching on CNN when the news came out that Jennifer’s ‘estranged’ brother-in-law had been on the run and listening to what his mother had to say about her son. My question to everyone (especially William Balfour’s mother) … Why do we assume that ‘we’ know that the person of interest is ‘not the person to expect???
We don’t know what our children do from day to day let alone from hour to hour, second to second, minute to minute … we don’t even know when our children leave the home to ‘hang out’ and return … my condolences are with William and his mother.
Truly I hope that if the evidence all point to him (William) – may he repent for all that he has done and ask God for his mercy and forgiveness as well as asking Jennifer Hudson for forgiveness. And what about Jennifer’s nephew’s father and his paternal relatives? Condolences to the family as well.
People need to read more of God’s Word and live by every word. Look at what’s happening all over the world and in the third world countries – we are blessed for what God has put upon us and greatful for all the He has brought us through – though this is for only the one’s who believe that Jesus died for OUR sins and has risen for us to know that we too can be forgiven by God – by just seeking his face and speaking from our hearts that He too can make things possible for us … nothing is impossible – a little faith will go along way – we just all need to believe not just now but forever.
May God Bless and Keep You!!!
What has happen to Jennifer Hudson is a tragedy. Its one thing to have 1 person taken from your family but to have 3 is a bigger tragedy. My hopes and prayers go out to her
First of all, the term ‘beyond a reasonable doubt’ only works in a criminal court. NOT IN THE PUBLIC!! We can say whatever we want…these are our opinions. WE ARE NOT IN COURT. The standard for blogs and public opinion is only of probability. We are not affecting the trial…they will find a jury that is apropos. And stop making excuses for the ridiculous amount of Black men in US jails…a huge majority have been convicted fairly. And in many cases that a wrong Black man was convicted, the real perp was ANOTHER BLACK MAN. There is a huge problem with crime in terms of young Black men…if you are in denial of this by blaming the media, or Cops, or White people, YOU ARE IN DENIAL, or ARE BIASED.
i agree that he is guilty and that he need to be buried under the jail
