I’m so happy that the family has now got the closer they needed and the man that did this will pay for what he did to a wounderful family.. i’m happy that justice will be done and i hope that the family can stay strong and keep their heads up and know that he’ll get his when he got to go before god himself and answer to him on why he would do a thing like this and hurt three people that nothing to do with his anger ..

None of us should be judging Julian’s mother for her grieving in public. Whether there is more to the story or not, she is entitled to grieve however she wants. This is one of the most poorly written articles I have ever read. The sentence structure and continuous use of the same words and phrases is a slap in the face to the Hudson family. If you are going to report news to the public in a way that does not befit the seriousness of the topic.

Besides that, I am not too shocked that he was arrested. He has been suspect #1 since the day I even heard they were missing. I didnt want to jump to conclusions or assume that the police had not fully done everything in their power. Due to the sensetivity of the case, I understand not releasing what made them arrest Balfour, it is respectable.

Bottom line is we (USA) need to resort to the punishment enforced in the third world countries. Put that on the voting ballot to be considered! The crime rate is down in other countries because of capital punishment. If we STOP rewarding the criminals for unacceptable behavior, just MAYBE they might think before acting out!

The “Death penalty” is too good for him.
If it were up to me, I would give him a foot-tub in his 4 by 6 cell to wash up from. This way he never comes out of his cell. He stays in there 24 / 7 /365 a year. I would give him no TV for at least 12 consecutive years. And I would give him a Bible, and a strong noose in the ceiling. His option would be to get into that Bible, or put his neck in that noose and jump. That’s the choice we all have, why not him too? I have worked in two different prisons in two different states, and I am convinced keeping harden criminals locked up24/7/365 a year with no TV would deter heniuos crime. Apparently the “Death Penalty” has not. Also if the states allow harden inmates to take their own lives, in many cases they (The states) would not have to. Anyone one of us on this site can go and take our lives at any time we decide to. Why should harden criminals not be allowed to do the same thing?

I really hope the police have done their jobs thoroughly because it seems strange that after holding this young man for the initial length of time to just release him and then to rearrest him just seems very odd. I want them to have the right person and not just a convenient criminal with a past however dark it may be. Let’s not close our eyes to her own families past and how trouble came right to their front door in such a violent way. We all know how the system works, highly publicized case with a great need for closure quickly. I really pray that everything was done with careful and meticulous good ole fashion police work. I could not begin to even imagine the pain that Jennifer must be going through to loose your family, your mom like that and to know that your sister, her ex-husband and your brother’s actions could have caused this great tragedy. It’s times like this that you truly pray that any person has a really good faith to carry the weight of this burden.

I am happy to know that they (Chicago Police) finally got evidence to charge this monster for taking the lives of three beautiful people. My heart and prayers goes out to Jennifer and her sister. If God helped the police find the killer, why didn’t He just prevent the killing in the first place? Time to move past superstition and mythology.

My prayers continue to go out to the family, as this was a horrible act of violence. I do agree that there is more to the story and I hope that the police are really investigating this story to its fullest and not just arresting this man so the crime can be solved expeditiously. If it is him, may he get what he deserves. If it isn’t him, they need to really do what they can to catch the real person because locking up this man “just because” is not bringing justice to this family. Thank God they are finally charging him. I believe in my heart that the sister was also involved. I have never seen a mother act so calmly when her child went missing. What happened here was very sad and should not happen to anyones family, but bad things will continue to go on until we a GOD of our understanding into our lives. From the time the incident occured I knew in my heart that he was guilty.I am so glad that he is going to be locked up for the rest of his life.What baffles me is how he managed to get out of jail on parole for attempted murder.Its sad at how our justice system is so messed up.Now hopefully Jennifer can rest a little better knowing that this idiot is behind bars!!!!!As a Chicagoan myself it hit the whole city hard and my prayers are with Jennifer.

well, considering just how high profile this case is because of the oscar winner, something had to be done… this man was not ALONE IN THIS CRIME..but looks like he will go down for ten or twenty and the rest of the gang will get away scot free.. to be honest, am wondering just what took so long?. extreme violent crimes of this nature seem to be “acceptable ” within the communities that are the victims of them. well, untill the next atrocity then as nothing is going to change the mentality that thinks nothing of blasting an innocent child at close range.. these people will continue to get away with it, as not everyone is related to a star .

This is a sad ending, but I’m glad the found out who committed those murders. It’s sad that it was a family member…so sad….I pray for them to have peace. this coward need to be put to death in a hurry.but since he murdered Black people he might get life. stanley williams didn’t get the death penalty for the numerous Blacks that he may have murdered, he got it for killing two Asian and one White boy. I dont understand why it took so long, but I’m glad that he was caught and now going to do time for it. His mother knew her son was guilty, but I guess like any mother she was defending her son, but any I feel so much better I felt like it was my family.

Jennifer, someone wrote here that ‘God Took Your Family’. I disagree with that. My mom was killed in the same way and I was there (but asleep). Evil took your family because yes there is God in this world but there is also evil. God gave us the ability to make a choice: choose Him or the world. The person who killed your family did not choose God’s way. This person chose ‘the worldly way’. So please dont ever think that God took your family away in such a heinous way (because God dont have people’s mothers killed/My Lord do not have that done).
