Kanye West Opposed Procedure That Proved Fatal

Donda and Kanye West

Kanye West opposed procedure that proved fatal.

The cosmetic procedure that led to deadly complications for a rapper’s mom was certainly not his idea. In fact, Kanye West’s aunt Yolanda tells a British publication that he opposed Dr. Donda West’s plan to get a tummy tuck, in order to lose weight. “There were some moments when she dieted, some moments when she’d lose the weight,” says the aunt, “but you know how we do. We pick the weight back up, and she finally got to a point where she just wanted to get it done and completely be done with the dieting…Did Kanye want it done? No. But he’s a momma’s boy and what mom wanted was what he wanted to make sure she had. And now he’s got no mom.”

America has distorted our views on beauty. We are not all built to be a size 2. We have to learn to be comfortable in our own skin.God made her beautiful and Kanye still has a mother. Now she works quietly behind the scenes but I know he still feels her presence as powerfully as if her flesh were still here. God bless you Kanye. He never gives us more than we can bear.

all surgery is a risk.

exercise is hard work.

this is the risk
the price for the fast and easy is often more than we’d hoped to pay.

the industry has provided a very bad example of what is important.
this is good to hear of what can go with it. sad, the price she paid to show us.

I feel so sorry for Kanye. He loved he sh*t out of his mother. I find it so unfortunate that she had to go like this… Trying to alter the appearance that God blessed her with. I thought about cosmetic surgeries before as well, but this incident changed my mind completely. I love me some Kanye, and his music is STILL bangin’. Can’t wait for that new album.

I am sad for Kanye it is hard to lose a parent. However, I don’t think any of this should be discussed publicly unless it comes from Kanye. I hope he is okay with his aunt putting this out there.

REALITY CHECK!…the idea that exercise is this miracle cure all is a false perception. Exercise does not always work and if you over 40, the metabolism slows. What do you do with all of the excess skin that develops after you diet and exercise? That is why people look to go to a comestic surgeon. I really get a kick out of those who tell people who want “work” done, to be happy with what God has given you. Undersyand these people have usually have what those people seek. Let people do what they want with themselves and as long as they are happy why do others care? I clearly understand what Kayne’s mother was feeling. This country glorifies, youth and beauty. Where else in the world are you considered OLD at 30? Wake up superficial America, we are all victims of the lies that the media choose to feed us with.

BEAUTY IS ALWAYS IN THE EYES OF THE BEHOLDER. I feel that medicine and science has transformed our minds so much that we have lost focus of reality. What happened to the days before cosmetic surgery. if your were fat, you stayed fat until YOU changed it. A person can have all the cosmetic surgery in the world but if your self esteemis low, nothing you do will make you feel secure in your skin. Learn to love you first and then everything else will fall into place.

I think we have all lost our way! As children we don’t know what ugly is until someone plants that seed in our head! As children beauty to us are the people that we can relate to, the people that love us most, the people that are there for us when we need them most. Kanye I wouldn’t approve of my mom getting cosmetic surgery either. I don’t even like my daughter’s mother wearing weave and make-up! I’m old school, I think a woman’s beauty and glory is in her own grown hair and her natural beauty! Your Mom is/was a beautiful lady, and she will always carry the load and push you to be even better then what you’ve already become! Because she is you and you are her, continue to make her proud! I know I am, anything you put your voice on or any beat that you produce I’m quick to listen and be the first to love it and the last to quick playing it! Keep doin your thing homie!

Cosmetic surgery is elective surgery and therefore NOT medically necessary. Any surgery is riskly so the less risk you take, the better off you will be. Black folks learned this cosmetic surgery stuff from vain white folks. Black people we don’t need it and we need to stop picking up their bad habits!

And this probably made Kanye’s anger WORST than it was before. The Hollywood life is so vain that people just want everything RIGHT NOW and this is a result of the RIGHT NOW attitude and what money will do for you.

I pray that Kanye will address his anger issues and place them at Jesus’ feet, so that he can be free.

My oppinion is that Kanye take some time off, alicia keys did it and made adjustments. Sometimes you have to breathe and relax from the B.S. If he should read or here this piece, PLEASE for your own benefit go some where you can let off a lot of steam. You will feel better to let go! PEACE!!!!

The problem lies with the unqualified physicians wanting to be apart of big money industry. They don’t care about anyone but themselves and getting your money. Even if a patient try and cancel the doctors still get a big chunk of the monies. The pre surgery exam is a must and even then there are not guarantees.

To lose your mother is hard. It takes time. Sometimes you do well and sometimes you don’t and it’s ok.

Rhonda said on September 29th, 2008

As one of the other reader’s commented I feel that this is a private issue that should not be discussed in the press. Kanye has been through enough. I lost my mother in 2001; and I can personally testify that you never get over it. But, time heals all wounds, and I know I will be joining her in heaven one day. As beautiful African Queens and Kings we must learn not to assimilate to the European standards of Beauty. Look at all the people getting their lips enlarged and butt implants. If our African features were so bad, why are all these people paying money to look like us? We need to be proud of the body and features that God gave us.

Jade H. u can say what u want but exercise DOES work, I don’t care how old u are. If u are consistent and dedicated exercise will put u in better shape. The problem with most people is we’re too lazy to fully commit to it.

Kanye is bearing the pain of losing his mother. I see it clearly in his face. The stare that he displays is saying just leave me alone. Dr. West made a decision to have that surgery and he now bears the scar of going alone with her. For this young man it will take a long time. May God help him through his pain.

This is a situation some of us always doubt ourselves or regret the decisions and choices we have made. As others said all surgery is at RISK. Just delivering an infant or two is a risk. Kanye remember mommie is ALWAYS with you in spirit and soul. To the aunt be there for him and let him know HE DOES HAS A MOTHER< ALWAYS

Let this be a lesson, IT’S NOT WORTH IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!And she should have known better, that was very poor judgement on her part.

IT IS SAD THAT KANYE LOST HIS MOTHER.. WE AS A SOCIETY HAS TO UNDERSTAND THAT WE ARE ALL BEAUTIFUL JUST THE WAY THAT GOD MADE US AND WE SHOULD TAKE PRIDE IN OUR APPEARANCE.. MOST OF THE WOMEN WE SEE ON TV HAVE ON HEAVY MAKE UP AND THEIR FLAWS ARE MASKED. IF WEIGHT IS A ISSUE THEN WE AS PEOPLE HAVE TO BE WILLING TO DEDICATE OURSELVES TO WORKIN OUT AND EATING RIGHT AND THEN WE WOULD BE IN CONTROL OF OUR WEIGHT. A QUICK FIX IS NOT ALWAYS THE ANSWER.. LOOK AT THE PRICE KANYE’S MOTHER HAD TO PAY AND SHE WAS NOT FAT AND SHE WAS ALREADY BEAUTIFUL… GOOD LUCK KANYE AND JUST CONTINUE TO HONOR YA MOTHER BY BEING A SUCCESS IN ANY AND EVERYTHING THAT U DO.. AND DO IT TO THE BEST OF YA ABILITY CAUSE SHE IS STILL WATCHIN SO CONTINUE TO MAKE HER PROUD..

My heart goes out to you Kanye. I lost my mom 2yrs ago and I feel like I will never truely be happy again. No matter what caused your mother’s death or who was at fault, at the end of the day the fact remains your mom is not here and I know it hurts like hell. I feel the pain every day. For those of you that have not lost your mother, you do not understand the pain. Kanye you will never be the same. I honestly can see the pain in your eyes, I have that same look in mine. I will continue to pray for you.
