Kwame Kilpatrick May Be Heading Back to Court

He’s on his way home early for good behavior after a 120-day jail sentence. But the ex-mayor of Detroit could be headed back to a courtroom with the possibility of serving far more time behind bars if he’s convicted of federal corruption. Kwame Kilpatrick and his dad Bernard Kilpatrick are reported to be the men identified in a recent federal bribery case as “City Official A” and “Relative of City Official A.” The recently fired exec of a sludge recycling company is expected to serve 11 months in prison after confessing that he paid large sums of cash to secure a major city contract during Kilpatrick’s time in office. Among the figures reported in court papers to have participated in the Synagro company’s pay-to-play scheme are a politician fitting the ex-mayor’s description and his father, who reports suggest received cash from the contract through his consulting firm. No charges have been filed against the Kilpatricks, and Bernard Kilpatrick denies any wrongdoing in the case. The ex-mayor is completing jail time after he confessed to perjury and related charges last year in a case involving ex-cops who were investigating Kilpatrick’s security detail. He is expected to travel to Texas to seek private employment upon his release in early February.

Kilpatrick needs to be put under the jail for the things that he did…I always knew he was corrupt…he should be doing more time for the things he has done.

Kwame Kilpatrick’s skeletons are falling out of the closet one by one. I hope he finally comes clean about his wrong-doing so he can take his punishment and move on with his life. His wife and children deserve some peace and so does he.

When darkie goes back to court, he needs to be put under the jail with the rest of the urban scum. When you let a person of color run anything, most of the time the results are really bad.

Kilpatrick and his administration has cost the City of Detroit millions of dollars that they did not have. I believe in the scales of justice as Kim Worthy pointed out early in her investigation of the former major. This is not about a black man being wronged and treated unjusticly, this is about a man that happens to be black who is accused of doing wrong during his term in office…lets get out of the black and white mentality and coat our brains with the logic of right and wrong.
