Lil Wayne Outdoes Himself Again

July 12th, 2008

Lil Wayne

This week, Lil Wayne’s album Tha Carter III knocked Coldplay’s  “Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends” from the top of the U.S. pop charts, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The album has also sold 1.68 million copies in four weeks of its release. But just as the rapper was celebrating his success, according to several reports, he was arrested Thursday night by New Orleans police when he got into a nightclub fight with local New Orleans rapper Lil Dee. Weezy’s camp are keeping reports of the incident under wraps but according to unconfirmed reports and eyewitnesses both rappers were arrested and Lil Wayne was found with unregistered handguns. I like his Muzic. but he’s not a gangsta . Trust and believe me. He talks about how he grew up doing this and doing that. He didn’t do half of the things he says because he didn’t have to. Baby has been his legal guardian since he was about 9. And they already had money back then. I’m tired of the dude brain washing our kids minds with his non-eductional rap/lyrics. We have kids all over the US that know the lyrics to lolli pop. but can’t add, subract, or read. S##t is crazy. Wayne you need to get ya s$$t together, and realize the impact you have on our youth and let’s teach them how to unite as a race cause were not doing the things we need to be. It’s not cool what your doing. Unregistered straps. Come on. All mines are legit and I don’t have half of the bread you got. Get it together homie and put down the syrup. %@$@ slows you up.

The reason why he had a unregistered gun is because he is a true gangsta
no matter how much money. and why get body guards? who going to protect you better then yourself. we all know if you want da job done right do it yo self. where im from we called that throw away

lil wayne has to be blind to all the haters he did the wrong thing but the guy deserved it

Angela Said on

Wow! He is an execellent example of how money can’t buy everything. It takes discipline, wisdom, and maturity. The flashy material things and the sagging pants is not a good image for anyone to follow. Fighting, arrested and now in jail! What’s next?

Why are we trying to defend someone we don’t know? You know him based upon who he has portrayed to be and no more. We can comment on his music but him as a person……both sides need to calm the noise. Any comment is judgemental at best so you may want to watch that so you won’t be judged. For all you females talking about he’s your “Boo” and “Baby Daddy” let me help you out…………….please get some self-esteem, a life and a dream. Then again Jesus would help. If the measure of your worth is having a baby daddy and not a husband or a father for your child then you have way more issues than Weezy. By the way, we need to hold a writing class on some of these blogs. The education system is truly failing us…..o.NE

I’m sorry to hear this. I wish Lil Wayne well.

Okay KD I feel you. Why we waste a moment of our lives commenting on a person we do not know is beyond me. You came at the sista’s slightly but again I see your point. We blogging like we really know this cat and the truth is he is a figure of creative thought and not a real operson. He is a product of what has been created in Hip Hop. He may have some elements of hood in him but as with many rappers they exploit that to the 19th degree for the appeal of the rest of us so here we are talking about a dude that we do not know. Good looking out on the comment and I agree that some of these comments need spell checking or to go back to english. How we talk and how we write should be different.

YOU CAN TAKE DA N!QQ@ OUT DA HOOD BUT YOU CANT TAKE DA HOOD OUT DA N!QQ@!! I MEAN COME ON NOW, ITS GOT TO BE A TIME WHEN ONE GROWS THE HELL UP! SOME FOLKS CANT HANDLE SUCCESS.

SOMEONE GIVE THAT MAN SOME CODEINE COUGH MEDICINE SO HE CAN SETTLE HIS LIL @ZZ DOWN!

mary Said on

when you become a sucess it comes with restrictions and he has to realize that a nightclub is too open for something bad to happen ….he says it is all because of God well maybe he now needs to change a little of his lifestyle and not put himself in a position as an open target….the devil is real

Maaaannnn! Its sad that lil wayne is in trouble, another young talented brother with a chance to set a example of how successful we can be, if we use our brains and discover our God given abilities and purposes. Im from the hood and i believe me if i had his chances along wit Ti’s and many others, It wouldnt be nothing these peons/haters could do to knock me off of my square because i know how it is in the hood, mostly everybody’s starving, hatin, or doing the same ol thing over and over petty hustlin and knockin tryin to outdo the next man by all means. And sum of you all’s comments are very disturbing and disappointing believing that image is reality. Yes i love rap! Yes most rappers are from the hood and lived less fortunate just like most of us who love rap. But if you love rappers so much then check their backgrounds, me personally i don’t care about who the rapper really is, because who he really is isn’t who got them famous. Its the way they rap what got him famous. Some of you people need to wake up. For example, think about not knocking lil wayne, i like his music. But if you’re a real cash money fan you’ll know that baby adopted him when he was like 13 because he could rap. He could even use curse words in his rap until he was like 18, don’t believe go and listen to all the old Hotboys music. He didnt have to live the hood life because baby and slim were already rich. Last but not least Wayne recently started claiming blood but never back then. Wayne even said that Baby wouldn’t let him go to the hood because they wanted him to be what he is today, one of the best. So ask yourself this, When did he have time to be initiated to become a blood? Hmmm? lol In all of his old videos he wore blue flags, blue clothes, throwbacks and any other colors that don’t affiliate with bloods. But all of a sudden he gets cool with dipset and starts claiming blood. People and my young people especially. Stop looking up to the wrong ppl, Wayne along with Britney Spears and most celebrities is going through a identity crisis. He mixing lil wayne with Dewayne Carter and the two are conflicting. I am 25 and I even know that jail aint cool, and so does he. He said on A milli, He rather be pushin flowers/ than in the pen sharing showers. Meaning he rather be dead than in jail. Like how rappers rap, dress, look, and whatever else floats your boat, BUT STOP LOOKING UP TO EM! HIT ME UP AT BALLINMOE@YAHOO.COM. IM OUT

Wayne did what he had to do. The rapper, who, lil’ dee, must was hating because Lil’ Wayne is running New Orleans. He will be out of jail, those haters and crackers can’t keep him locked up. When he get out, he gon see more than a milli.
