I am really shocked at Lil Wayne’s statement. That was truly a selfish comment he made. He might have been under the influence when he said it. Regardless, it should let you know that his fans don’t mean anything to him, but our money does because it allows him to continue to “do him”. I used to sip it and every now and then I have heart pain and it’s proly gone last for da rest of my life… I grew up on it, we used to ride to high school on our bikes with drank in a cup and then go lift weights. It’s so sad to see another brotha making excuses for his ignorance and carelessness. A person like Wayne who has so much potential and so much influence on young people all over the world should really reconsider his selfish choices. Of course, all people want to be free to “do them” but with fame comes some required sacrifices and one of those sacrifices is privacy. You don’t get any!!! Regardless of Wayne’s background and upbringing he is old enough to know right from wrong and he’s a father himself so he has a lot to lose should his selfishness ruin him.
Reading the article on Wayne’s addiction, I think he knows he has a problem despite his efforts to tell people to leave him alone. He seems afraid to get help and to get clean because then he’ll have to be a real man and deal with real life and its hardships. Many people would love to run from the harsh realities of this world but it’s how we run that matters. Wayne has enough money to take a vacation and take himself away from whatever it is that’s causing him to want to be out of his sane mind. He can pay a neutrual party to listen to his problems without offering judgement if he needs that (therapy/ist). Why choose the cowardly, irresponsible way? Why? Let go of the ghetto mentality and grow up Wayne. It’s time. You’ve made a name for yourself and you’ve carved out a place in this world for yourself that allows you to have more choices than most so go ahead and start to choose more wisely from now on. You’ll still be cool and you’ll get more respect. Plus, your music will probably get more intelligent and sensible and meaningful! Get help and get stronger!
