There is a difference between being and acting socially-conscious. Lupe is acting. This is the same guy who only a year ago went on a tirade about Barack Obama and missed the opportunity to acknowledge the work of ‘A Tribe Called Quest.’ I know a poser when i see one and Lupe is just that, a poser. He also say’s he an admirer of author Nowman Chuampski’s work, well, i doubt that.

But on the political scene, i wonder sometimes if my man knows what he’s talking about. Bush and Mugabe aren’t in the same echelon of “tyrannical world leaders” bcuz Bush is a greedy idiot with no foresight while Mugabe is dealing with the aftermath of British colonialism and slavery in his country but isn’t protecting his people and also being greedy (plus who knows what the Brits have offered him). The Obama thing, i respected, bcuz i think Hilary is a strong candidate too…Barack’s just stronger and the DNC saw that.

Lupe is not an American Dream artist like the Dixie Chicks (the word Dixie should clue you in). Lupe is more like Kanye, so there won’t be this big backlash. He is creating his controversy as a part of his personality and will likely sell millions soon.

Way to go Lupe it is good to see the first admendment being used, we need to really take a second look at what democracy is and how it is truly not being demonstrated in the USA but we are so quick to expand the idea to others. For the People and by the People.
