Man Killed By Atlanta Police Had 39 Bullet Holes

A man who was killed in a shootout with Atlanta Police in July had 19 bullet holes in his chest and back, 12 in his legs, six in his arms and one each in his neck and butt, an autopsy report obtained by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution shows. The family of the victim, Montellis Clark, has claimed that an officer stood over Clark and blasted away. Although the 39 bullet wounds would seem to suggest excessive force, they did not necessarily confirm that particular account, reported the newspaper, which obtained the autopsy report through an Open Records Act request. Dr. Karen Sullivan of the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office, who performed the autopsy July 16 – the day after the shooting – said that some wounds were likely caused by the same bullets that passed through one side and out another. Police say that Clark fired the first shots, firing at police outside an Atlanta home after being told to pull his hands out of his pockets. Two officers, Clarence Tosh and Gregory Dubose shot back, hitting his 25-year-old brother in the back. Clark’s mother, Melissa Clark, witnessed the incident but was not wounded. Interviewed by the Constitution-Journal, Melissa Clark said, “It didn’t take that many shots. Once he was shot, that was enough.” She told the paper that she did not want to know how many times her son was shot.
Unless the person start to turn green or fangs mand hair start to grow out of himm , the is no way in hell to justified letting off that many shots,…i guess 30 shots or more minium for a blk man. this is why blk people should not fully trust obama, because this is a very serious issue in our community thats not being addressed. what the hell is going own ?

What a shame; This really don’t make any sense, and I bet nothing is going to happen to the police man. People really do abuse their authority. Things like this shouldn’t happen and when it do happen; it should be addressed properly with a investigation.

I live here and what they are not saying is that the brothers were on their own porch minding their own business in the hood. Now those police officers were not white they were black. Now ya gotta think like an ATalien….first off – why were that many officers there in the first place, they didn’t have a warrant for them and no one had called them to the house. They had not been observed doing anything illegal. now some of our own in uniform are holding down some hoods and ya betta know who the real hoodlums are.

Aint nobody saying he didnt deserve to get shot DUMBASS! All i am saying is that his body didnt have to be shot up like the wild west! But thats just it, it is the wild west when redneck cops deal with black people! Shoot em up, lock em up and beat em up! I am all for having laws and obeying them, but these devils who are sworn to protect us are killing us, laughing about it, and getting aquitted by a jury of devils! So i say, give them some hot justice! Let the AK47 be the jury since we cant count on the whiteman or the nojustice department! Or we can sit around and watch the slaughter continue! Tweety… understand… he was shot 39 times in the back. Wether or not he shot first… after the first 2 shots in the back he was not posing any threat to anyone!!! Cops are supposed to protect and to serve. The self defense I can understand. Shooting someone 39 times in the BACK in self defense is unheard of. That was totally uncalled for and totally and abuse of power. That was police brutality, fatality, whatever you wanna call it. It wasn’t right.

well of course everyone will have their opinion, so let me tell it like it is. this young man did absolutely nothing wrong, i mean so now you’re saying we can’t walk around on “property we own mind you” with our hands in our pockets? That’s flat out ridiculous! Second point being it does not take 39 shots to understand that somebody is dead. It’s not like he is bionic and just wouldn’t die or something. Police tend to take their authority to far and then tragedies like so happen. So for the fool who wrote above me /\ no disrespect but you need to get your mind right because you are one very bold and sick individual if you can sit there and speak like that, when that boys mama is mourning the unlawful loss of her son. Atlanta need’s to get it together before something really happens and nobody going to know how react. It’s sad when people act as if they don’t care about things like this. Well…!!! Lord what were they looking at? An elephant would die before you shot it with 39 bullets. This has got to be looked into, what a shame and abuse of power. I pray for the mother who not only witnessed this, but lost her son.
