Man Killed By Atlanta Police Had 39 Bullet Holes

A man who was killed in a shootout with Atlanta Police in July had 19 bullet holes in his chest and back, 12 in his legs, six in his arms and one each in his neck and butt, an autopsy report obtained by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution shows. The family of the victim, Montellis Clark, has claimed that an officer stood over Clark and blasted away. Although the 39 bullet wounds would seem to suggest excessive force, they did not necessarily confirm that particular account, reported the newspaper, which obtained the autopsy report through an Open Records Act request. Dr. Karen Sullivan of the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office, who performed the autopsy July 16 – the day after the shooting – said that some wounds were likely caused by the same bullets that passed through one side and out another. Police say that Clark fired the first shots, firing at police outside an Atlanta home after being told to pull his hands out of his pockets. Two officers, Clarence Tosh and Gregory Dubose shot back, hitting his 25-year-old brother in the back. Clark’s mother, Melissa Clark, witnessed the incident but was not wounded. Interviewed by the Constitution-Journal, Melissa Clark said, “It didn’t take that many shots. Once he was shot, that was enough.” She told the paper that she did not want to know how many times her son was shot.

Yes, Jessica is flat out studpid! I hate those ads! Lame-o’s! Anyway, that is crazy! So, if they did shoot him 5 times, those 5 bullets traveled through his body 7 times each to make over 30 damn holes? I hope they don’t use that in court!
My heart goes out to his mother!!! I can understand if you do not want to know how many bullets it took to take your son’s life!!!! I dont have any kids, but still, that is a hard pill to swallow!! whether he did it or not!!! thats your son!!! dying there!!!! I mean MAN!! Once again another cop killing but where is the justice, they change laws everyday but when is the one gonna change when its not necessary for fire more then enough rounds as long as the individual is on the ground. Its becoming a problem early this year we had cops beat on BLACK men because they looked like the cop killers caught on tape NO JUSTICE, SEAN BELL NO JUSTICE, RONDEY KING NO JUSTICE.

I’m really shocked at the comments behind this event. Maybe I’m putting a little more thought behind this incident than the others who commented. My condolences to the family of this tragic event. He must have really posed a threat to be shot 39 times.
Aye you people have no heart and are STUPID!!! That’s a horrible thing that has happened in the city of Atlanta! Also to let you know that happened to an African American male and this is consistantly overlooked by the American people no one cares as if you people that commented on this particular page. so if they say some of the bullet holes were from bullets passing through 1 in 1 out, that is 19 shots. come on now, how many times must a person be shot in order to gain control over that person? This goes on everywhere, police are soooo out of control it is beyond belief. They even harass and tazer teens that may look older than they really are, I know that for a fact. It happened to my grandson. It was for no reason other than he looked older than his age of 15. Please, let’s all pray that Obama be elected our next president . The present administration is letting the POLICE get away with murder. Pres. Obama will put a stop to alot of this totally unnecessary brutality that goes on. There is absolutely no reason for any man to be shot that many times. After a few rounds hit him he was no longer a threat to anyone. 39 times IS excessive to the extreme. Wake up people it must be hunting season again.

This is getting rediculous nobody deserves to be shot 39 times. That never should happen. 3 times is enough I’m so sick of this *%~*. Cops should be helping us not murding us. The police should take away those cops guns and suspend them or keep them off street duty until the investigation is final and something like this they should be fired and taken to court. I know money isn’t the case but his mother should sue them for all they’ve got. and I also think this should be a situation that the president canidates should be talking about. which is police brutality
Good Morning Everyone….can someone shed a little more light on this situation. I live here in Atlanta and I have not even heard of this crime. When did it take place and I also emailed everyone in my address book, and no one have seen to have heard of this. Can someone please help?!
