Man Killed By Atlanta Police Had 39 Bullet Holes

A man who was killed in a shootout with Atlanta Police in July had 19 bullet holes in his chest and back, 12 in his legs, six in his arms and one each in his neck and butt, an autopsy report obtained by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution shows. The family of the victim, Montellis Clark, has claimed that an officer stood over Clark and blasted away. Although the 39 bullet wounds would seem to suggest excessive force, they did not necessarily confirm that particular account, reported the newspaper, which obtained the autopsy report through an Open Records Act request. Dr. Karen Sullivan of the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office, who performed the autopsy July 16 – the day after the shooting – said that some wounds were likely caused by the same bullets that passed through one side and out another. Police say that Clark fired the first shots, firing at police outside an Atlanta home after being told to pull his hands out of his pockets. Two officers, Clarence Tosh and Gregory Dubose shot back, hitting his 25-year-old brother in the back. Clark’s mother, Melissa Clark, witnessed the incident but was not wounded. Interviewed by the Constitution-Journal, Melissa Clark said, “It didn’t take that many shots. Once he was shot, that was enough.” She told the paper that she did not want to know how many times her son was shot.
They said that the bullet holes were from entry and exit wounds, in that case this man was shot 19 times,according to them. Come on now. How many bullets can it possibly take to restrain a person???? This has got to stop. It is terrible the way police think they have the authority to do whatever they want. This is going on all over the U.S. The police are even tazering young people just because they look older than they are for NO reason. I know it happened to my 15 year old grandson, he did nothing to deserve it. He just looked older than he was and is black. Let us all pray that OBAMA is put in office, if not there is no hope for us. The cities are crumbling down, going into bankruptcy and the police are going crazy! God bless this young man’s family.
My heart goes out to the mother!!!!! I dont have any kids, but the thought of a mother looking at her child with 39 holes in him/her is devastating!!!!!!! Now I can understand what she meant when she didnt want to look at him!!! What is going on!!!!! Cops acting a d*** fool! Whether he did something or not!!! still!!! people 39 shots!!! My opinion is one shot is all it takes!!! to stop a person!!!! But Ya’ll help me to understand that!!!!! Now I know our days are numbered! and people die everyday, whether we believe its from GOD or not!!! But what I do believe is that GOD gives us peace!! that surpasses all understanding!!!!! Yes we may lose a loved one In our opinion “before their time” But somehow, someway we get thru!!!! Now im not saying that this is right!!! Hell No!!!! but while we are on this earth!!!! this earth!!!! we gotta take the bitter with the sweet!!!!! We are going to have to learn to keep, keeping it on when things dont go our way!!!!!! Just know that GOD is here!!! Ladies and gentlemen, we are fighting principalities and everything that is not of GOD!!!! GOD did say it was going to be difficult!! But HE did say its not going to be impossible!!!!
I would like everyone to pray for this family, as i am going to keep them in mine thoughts and prayers. This is surely a sad thing for a person to endure such pain and now the family is enduring the same pain though nit in the physical, but mentally the pain is there. I am praying for the souls of those officers.
I’m not downplaying the hurt of a mother losing her son but it says he shot FIRST. If he did,how do u believe the officers should have reacted? If he shot at them,he was trying to hit them,not scare them.These officers have families that love them and want them to come home at the end of the day.Would it matter if he was white?? My cousin,uncle and grandmother are police officers. I want them to be safe and do whatever it takes to come home safe and if that involves killing someone that intends on killing them, then so be it.It’s still tragic for a parent to lose her child and my deepest sympathy does go out to her.
With all the blood shed in this country alone know wonder the blood of many cries out to the True and Living God, for justice as Able’s did againist Cain! For, the Judicial System, ALCIO, State Legislators, etc. holds no truths to the protective rights of victims. Time has become a leader in redeeming lifes hopes for a true society, now has this become evident in all things in the land today. We can say what we feel is wrong with the system and the things that needs to done to correct it, but it’s not happening. So, now God’s, justice has taken it’s rightful place to bring anew dawning from this session of division everywhere. It’s in the atmosphere, stratsphere and heavensphere, It’s Time For Change!!!

THIS IS A NEVER ENDING CYCLE OF POLICE BRUTALITY AND EXCESSIVE FORCE AND THEY WONDER WHY THE BLACK COMMUNITY IS SO UPSET. WE HAVE A BAD TASTE IN OUR MOUTH WHEN IT COMES TO THE POLICE A COUPLE OF SHOT TO SUBDUE HIM IS ENOUGH AND THE PERSON DOING THE AUTOPSY STATED IT COULD HAVE BEEN ONE BULLET CAUSING TWO HOLES…..WELL IF YOU SHOOT HIM WHILE HE’S ON THE GROUND THEN THE BULLET WILL BOUNCE OFF THE CONCRETE AND POSSIBLY RE ENTER WE HAVE TO COME TOGETHER FOR A CHANGE WHERE POLICE OFFICERS ARE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR THEIR ACTIONS THE SHOOTERS IN SEAN BELLS MURDER WERE FOUND NOT GUILTY HOW DO YOU THINK HIS MOM CHILDREN AND FIANCE FELT….DEVASTATED

I am a black mother with a son that has been incarcerated for 18 years & I have seen loss & violence far too much. LIsten young people I love you and I am praying for you but you have got to wake up a take some responsibility for some of your actions! The least little incorrect thing that you do is going to be blown out of porportion because of your race & because Satan is out there trying to kill, rob, & destroy young people’s lives, you’ve got to be smarter & wiser & be aware of his tactics. Satan uses people, & he wants to kill you. I feel for that young mother that witnessed that merciless slaughter of her son. Those officers could have shot that young man & incapicitated him ( shot him in his legs to bring him down) but again Satan wanted his life & he got it. Things are going to get far worse before they get better & your only hope is a life with Jesus at the helm because he will warn you of the approaching wiles of the devil to keep you from harm. My heart aches so much for young people and I spend nights praying for you all nite long, to the point that I had a heart attack over two weeks ago! Please listen street life will kill you, I know you got to make it & you want to have fun but Satan is like a roaring lion in these mean streets trying to take you out. Please listen, I am a mother that loves everybodies child with all my heart & young people hear me, it’s time to wake up! You want to know how, just pray & ask the Lord to come into your heart & take control of your lives & do as He instructs you to do, and your lives will be spared. Too much blood has been shed, to many mother’s hearts have been broken, and the Lord wants so much better for you. You want to change your living conditions, change the way your life is going, improve your schools, open up the job market, have more opportunities to go to college, GET REGISTERED & VOTE! I was alive & witnessed people dying in Alabama during the 60’s for the right to vote. Do something that doesn’t cost you a penny but your vote can change your very life. YES ONE VOTE IS IMPORTANT. If it is true that the brother shot first, then he gave the pigs a reason to execute him! Excessive, yes! The devil will be himself, the only way to keep these racist pigs from unjustly kiling us is to return fire! Hold them accountable for the lives that they unjustly take. Over kill is an under statement. The trigger happy police is what they should be tag. What possible reason they had to plug the brother 39 times is beyond comprehesion. There surely need to be an inquiry as soon as humanly possible.

Wow How sad. Why isnt anyone sending condolences to the family who was witness to this horrific ordeal. Are we that bad that we cant feel for people anymore? if this was a gossip column we’d ALL be on the same page. C’mon people! this is a sad day and just plain sad for the city of Atlanta

I think that this is just another case of the cops overdoing things. Why did this man get shot that many times? And also, in the back. Come on now. But, I am sure that the shooting will be found justifiable.
