Atlantan for Life, you could not have said it better, I totally agree with you. I have always believed that this situation was about more than just dogfighting. I work for the department of corrections and I have personally seen cases involving dogfighting which were a lot larger than Vick and these people did not recieve this type of publicity nor did they go to jail (some even had prior felonies). Vick should not have been incarcerated in the first place, probation, fine and maybe some community service work should have been the extent of it, especially for a first time offender. I realize that you may be a Falcon fan but if I were Vick I wouldn’t want anything else to do with them, Blank knows he made millions on top of millions off Vick. But I am sure some team will pick him up and I am just as sure that he will be better than ever and take some team to the playoffs. I have seen Black men fall down and if he is a good one you can’t keep him down long and I do believe that Vick is a good one. Love some Vick

That’s okay Atlanta. The Oakland Raiders will pick up the BEST Quarterback Mr. Michael Vick. The #1 Quarterback in the WORLD is my 15 yr. old son De’Mari (Bop). Freshman in high school soon to take his place @ USC. I would say this wherever you (Michael) go all your fans will support you. We all learn from our mistakes and try NEVER to repeat them again. Regardless of the title of this article, the media has it twisted. The MAJORITY of fans in Atlanta, including myself want Vick back. Take that to the bank. Though Arthur Blank and his “image” guys, (Mike Smith and TD and oh let’s not forget triffling McKay) are fronting for their corporate fraternity of sponsors that support the Falcons by saying in code that they dont’ want Vick, we know that they only PRAY that they could have Vick back. In fact, in silence they are sweating bullets at the thought of the cash registers in the Dome, hotel bookings, and ticket counters going Cha-Ching with Vick back. Vick along with his talents on the field, is a bonafide, guaranteed revenue-generator. Problem is they brought in Ryan, no a lot of fans have not accepted him to this day, and white folks in Atlanta act like (no surprise) he’s a Superbowl contending QB already. This thing is bigger than a dog-fighting conviction. Vick’s absence only validates the fact that mainstream America has an issue with Black men being at the helm in anything. Why do you think that folks are losing their minds at the thought of Obama becoming President, death threats . . . come on! You are right the QB position of the NFL was designed around the concept of non-scrambling white QB’s.

The NFL is built for passing quarterbacks; Ilove Mike, but his passing had regressed, and sooner or later, the defense woulda caught up to him. He needs to write the ATL off, get his arm right, and try it again in another city…PEACE.

UMlaw I have a question for you? Why are you always here when there is news about Vick, you really sound like a hater. We all know that he lied, we all know that is money was used, we all know that this took place on his property, and we also know that he was involved with dogfighting, so what exactly is your point? Now I am sure that you have never lied or made a mistake, unfortunate for Vick he did and now he has paid for that mistakes and has a right (just like anyone else) to a second chance. Oh yes one more thing had this been a white Michael Vick you would have heard very little if anything about it, and he certainly wouldn’t have went to prison, and don’t say that isn’t true because I know better I have seen it too many times when this so called justice system screws over black men and a white one can commit the exact same crime and be treated differently. Dogfighting hasn’t stopped even during the time Vick was incarcerated.
