Rapper pleads not guilty to drug, animal cruelty charges.
Rapper Earl “DMX” Simmons has pleaded not guilty to charges of felony drug possession and misdemeanor animal cruelty in Arizona. X is accused of 11 counts, including marijuana and paraphernalia possession, plus charges that he neglected 12 pit bulls at his home, while he was traveling. X surrendered to cops last week after first refusing to face tactical enforcement officers who surrounded the house. The animal cruelty investigation began last summer when X says he left the dogs with a caregiver, who apparently went on vacation and didn’t make arrangements to feed the animals.
