Nader Has More Race Words For Obama

August 7th, 2008

In June he said Barack was “talking White.” Now he says the Democrat is not a good Black candidate.
Independent presidential candidate Ralph Nader, who a couple months ago chided Sen. Barack Obama for “talking White,” said Wednesday that Obama would not make the kind of Black president he was hoping for. “People who have fought the civil rights battle – politically, economically, legally – as we have since the ’50s would often talk about, ‘Look what would happen if we had an African-American president or chairpersons of major congressional committees,’” said Nader. “It doesn’t look like it’s going to be what we all thought it would be. … I lost respect for him when I saw him over a year ago on C-SPAN vigorously opposed to the impeachment of Bush and Cheney – vigorously opposed. He said it would be ‘divisive’. That is a cop-out word. We have the most multiple impeachable presidency in American history.” Nader was speaking to the media during a breakfast hosted by the Christian Science Monitor. In June, Nader blamed Obama with assuaging “White guilt” by ignoring issues of race and poverty. Nader, who enjoyed a long reign as nation’s most respected consumer advocate – that was until he lost favor among many Democratic voters by drawing just enough votes in the 2000 election to knock Al Gore out of presidential contention – has been outspoken about Obama’s new stance on drilling for offshore oil.

Hmm… Even though I think Nader is an egotistical windbag (despite his many consumer advocate accomplishments; and they are real!), I must admit, the man’s got a point, or more, for that matter…

Do people actually realize that Barack IS white? He’s biracial. He sat across the breakfast table from white faces growing up as a child. However his dialect, it shouldn’t dang matter! I love how racist everyone is on both sides of the fence. He’s not black enough, he’s too white, but he sure counts as a black president-elect so which is it?Get over it!

Jeb Bush screwed Al Gore from becoming President of the United States, not Ralph Nader.

Why is everybody so focused on race in this election?? come on people its not Black vs. White its who is the best person for the job. Everybody seems to be playing the race card EXCEPT Obama

It’s SO interesting to me that EVERYONE has something to say about what Obama is or is not. “He’s acting TOO white” … “He’s not black enough” … “He doesn’t wear a American flag pin on his suit” … “He should do this” … “He shouldn’t do that” … sheesh people … GET OVER IT! He is the obvious best choice, so why is it so hard to accept that? Or is the answer a race answer since everything else is?

What is not black enough… is there such a thing of talking like a black girl. Heck no, we need to get over that and see Obama for a man who speaks proper english, he just happens to be black and the best man for the job. So instead of talking all this crap go register to vote and do some research on the candiates. This is coming from someone who is tired of being told she is not black enough by her own people. Lets grow up people..PLEASE

Why do you never hear about Ralph Nadar saying anything negative about John McCain. People get real this man is really out to help the Republicans win the election. He always come into the race to try to upset things. Beside who is he to talk about if someone is black enough to represent this country. I would like to known what he has do so much for black people. Please Nadar go somehwere and sit down, you are out of date, and your time is over.

This is exactly what McCain’s camp is wanting us to do to each other. Find all our problems & issues and lay them out so the republicans can sit back and look at us and laugh. Nader needs to shut his trap and worry about getting New Orleans cleaned up…

What is talking white? Does Ralph Nader want Obama to sound like the stereotypical Black person on the News. I be runnin fo president. As for not wanting Bush to be impeached, Bush has already hurt the faith of the American democratic process by stealing two elections. What would an impeachment actually do? He’s going to finish his term anyway.
