Family’s pit bull duo kills infant.
Nobody knows why a family’s two pit bulls blasted through the back door, mauled an infant girl to death and chewed up her grandmother, who tried to get her to safety. The grandmother, who survived the attack, had been baby-sitting at the time, she told Las Vegas Police. It appears that the dogs burst through a screen door of the North Las Vegas house and began attacking the 4-month-old, who was sitting in a stroller, police said. “They just went right for the little girl,” North Las Vegas police Chief Joseph Forti told The Las Vegas Review-Journal. Grandma said she tried to “take the girl into another room, but the dogs forced their way in before she could close the door.” When police arrived, the dogs were still acting viciously, they said. Police shot and killed the pit bulls.
Oprah stays political. In recent weeks, rumors have surfaced that there’s an Oprah rebellion afoot. Word is that Oprah Winfrey’s announcement that she would not be allowing Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin to appear on her show, has sparked a backlash from women who say the Barack Obama supporter should provide equal time. But an impending insurrection doesn’t seem to be causing the talk-show diva to be less political. Today, Oprah will dedicate her show to a Senate bill targeting child predators, according to a release issued Friday by Chicago-based Harpo Productions. “What you are going to see is going to shock you to the core, but I’m asking you to please not turn away because this is happening in our country, to our children, in the United States every day,” said Winfrey, who says that show will highlight the “extent and pervasiveness of child pornography trafficking in America.” The release says that Winfrey will ask viewers to contact their senators about U.S. Senate Bill 1738, the Protect Our Children Act. The top is nothing new for Winfrey, herself a victim of child abuse. In 1991, she testified before the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee in support of a national database of convicted child abusers. The hearing led to the signing of the so-called “Oprah Bill” in 1993. Her “Oprah’s Child Predator Watch List” has resulted in the capture of nine child predators, according to Harpo.
I feel bad for the family, me personally I do not like those damn dogs my son had one I made him get rid of the bastard, they are dangerous everytime you look around they are attacking someone or killing someone, poor baby.
Because a few women are making such a big deal about Oprah not having ANY presidential candidates on her show, I am getting a subscription to her magazine now. And I am gonna Tivo her show and watch it. So because of all this unnecessary drama, she has a new viewer and new magazine subscriber. Hi haters.
There should be a nationwide ban on pit bulls. There is one that lives in my house and that is why I don’t take my granddaughter out in back. The dog has broken his chain a few times but just in case when I go out back alone I carry my pistol and a bat by the door for those just in case moments. That is too much to just keep a vicious dog.
David: If you want to talk race, lets talk about how the Republican Party got the United States into the mess where in now. And, if I remember correctly McSAME, most definitely had a part in ensuring the RICH get RICHER during his time in office. Also, do we really want a woman in office that has NO foriegn policy experience, let alone has only governed a cityy with a population of 7 to 9 thousand people. I think NOT!!! . Again, I thought we were talking about the United States of America, and what’s best for all of us. PLEASE STOP THROWING THE RACE CARD!!! By the way, I thought it was called the ” Oprah Winfrey Show” . She can have who ever she wants on HERshow, when ever SHE wants!!!!! STOP HATING!!!
My prayers and condolences go out to the family of the baby girl. However please understand that All dogs have the potential to be aggressive. You can’t blame the dog, blame the owner. it is all in how theyh are raised and treated. i have a 1 year old pit bull female. my dog is sweet with everyone she comes in contact with. she has never shown any sign of being a vicious dog.
The only reason pit bulls have a bad name is because there are people in this world who have bad intentions (dog fighting, etc…) which causes the dog to become aggressive.
I feel bad for the family who lost their baby,My condolences to the family. thats good that those dogs were shot, The owners of those dogs should have had them chained up, if they were chained up that baby would of still been here, and yeah i agree with kisha pits are wild animals.
It’s Oprah’s show she could have whoever the heck she wants to have on her show! And she’s not racist, I’m sure alot of people would agree with that.
She don’t need people like david watchin her show, she gets alot of high ratings anyway so go watch something like jerry springer

2. I don’t blame Oprah for NOT wasting time with that Palin female.
3. Child abuse is a more important subject.

Why are there lies on the air form FOX about OBAMA. Palin was selected to pull the votes that Hilliary would have received if she had gotten the nod. This woman stands for nothing she has shot herself in the foot with her own values. Good for the other people but not for her. Her first interview she did not shine. If you agree with what is going on in the world today then vote your way but if you are not and you need some change in your world you will not vote McCain/Palin. Between a rock and a hard place………

It’s Oprah’s show and she can have anyone on the show that she pleases. She undeniablly supports Obama. Palin has not impressed me, I think she has said enough on the interwiew with Charles Gibson.
With regards to the pitbulls. Dogs or animals in general become what we teach them to be. We as adults need to make better decisions as to what kind of pets we have around our families. My heart goes out to the family.
As for the Oprah story. Her focus is on the children of our country. Let’s not lose that. At least someone with the star power that she has is doing something to bring us awareness. As for her political choices, she has made it very clear where she stands and as a pro choice individual living in a country that gives us the opportunity of choices. I stand by her and it sure doesn’t have anything to do with race. Besides, there are plenty of other media venues in which Mrs. Palin can do her campaigning. It’s Mrs. Palin’s choice as to where she wants to make her statesments, but after her 1st interview, I don’t think she wants to say much of anything right now…..Stay open minded and objective people, let’s not use that “race card” or the “redneck card”
My prayers goes out to the family of the child and gradmother. She did her best to keep her alive. I hope that the owners get some type of time for not keeping the dogs on a leash.

PITBULLS ARE NOT KILLERS. i HAVE HAD PITBULLS AROUND MY KIDS FOR FOURTEEN YEARS. ANIMALS ARE TAUGHT TO BE KILLERS. EVERYBODY ALWAYS HAS SOMETHING NEGATIVE TO SAY WHEN IT’S A “PITBULL”. THERE WAS SUCH AN UPROAR WHEN A BULL MASTIFF TURNED ON THE KIDS IN FLORIDA OR THE AKEEDA THAT ATTACKED THE OWNER AND KILLED HER IN CALIFORNIA. ANY DOG CAN BE A KILLER.
Poor baby… God rest the little angel. Foolish to keep such a vicious trained animal around small children or at all.
