A sixth-grader gets suspended for his anti- Obama T-Shirt
. He wore an Obama T-shirt to school and was given the ultimatum to either change his shirt, turn it inside out or be kicked out of school. Daxx Dalton, an 11-year-old, sixth-grader in Colorado, took the suspension, saying his first amendment rights were being trampled. On a day when students were asked to show their patriotism by wearing, red, white and blue, Dalton wore a homemade shirt that read “Obama is a terrorist’s best friend.” Get more on the story at BET.com/News. Barack Obama’s Chicago home Tuesday morning with a gun on the floor of his car, The Chicago Sun-Times reports. The incident occurred around 4:45 a.m. when the man appeared about a block from the south side home of the Democratic presidential nominee, U.S. Secret Service spokesman Malcolm Wiley told the newspaper. He noted, however, that the man did not direct any threats toward Obama, did not “utter any threatening language,” and no weapon was involved, Wiley said. But police told the Sun-Times that officers found a gun and bullet-proof vest in the man’s car. A Secret Service security detail stopped him, according to the report, and he began a “rambling conversation” about getting a job and spoke about how he was a victim of crime and that he was happy that an African-American was running for president. The 30-something man is a convicted felon, the paper reports. What fueled concern, police say, is that after being told to leave the area, the man drove away but returned. That’s when Secret Service officers searched his car and recovered a handgun, the Sun-Times reports.

This Kid is a reflection of his home and community, because Obama has an Arabic name does not make him a friend of the Islamic extremist; parents speak sense to your children.

Do not blame the boy, blame the father. It only goes to show you that parents will bring their own insecurties through their children. By the way, McCain wants to postpone the debates this Friday, I wonder why? maybe he is afraid that Obama will expose McCain as pointless and mindless. Obama 2008.
I am really tired of these adults using their children to try and make a dime. This was nothing but a stupid stunt by his dad to get attention, and hoply get some magazine or talk show to pay him to talk about it. Of course people have a right to freedom of speech, and expression. However, you don’t have the right to slander someone’s name. All we can do is pray for this kid.

I have to say the school acted appropiately. The student chose to get suspended. It is a policy with most if not ALL schools that state students can not wear offensive clothing to school. It may be his first admendment right to wear the shirt off school grounds but ALL students lose that right when the attend school.

There is a time and place for everything. While friendly debate is acceptable when you have the FACTS about both candidates, school and work are not the place for expressing political views. Our children are the product of the environment that we as parents provide for them. The young child that wore the offensive terrorist t-shirt to school is expressing the views and opinions of his environment. Yes, the child should have been suspended; there are consequences for every action. His father should also be held accountable for allowing him to wear the t-shirt. Parents are one of the greatest influences on children.
Such a shame about the man caught at Obama’s home. Just goes to show you ~ for as far as we’ve have come, WE still have a long way to go.
It’s obvious the parents have issues here, they had to know what the kid was wearing, and the school did give him several choices, he took the defiant one knowing this would cause trouble. Kids learn from their parents, America better wake up, don’t you see what’s happening?
