February 18th, 2009U.S. to Haitians: Go Home! U.S. immigration authorities have ordered 30,000 Haitians to get out. But that decree is easier said than done, according to Haitian officials, who say their impoverished, hurricane-slammed nation needs time to prepare for the return of its citizens. Following a three-month moratorium on deportations in early December, Customs officials have been sending deportees with valid passports back home, The South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports. The lack of travel documents has resulted in longer stays for Haitians in crowded detention centers, said a spokeswoman for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Currently, there are about 600 Haitians being detained and more than 240 others under a form of house arrest whereas they’re being monitored with electronic ankle bracelets.

Hmmm, its always Haitians getting deported. But when Central and South Americans “sneak” over the border-which has been happening for at least 20 YEARS now, nothing is hardly done. Illegal immigrants get jobs “under the table” and come in droves. But OH NO , not the haitians?!!! While some central american countries had civil war and b/c of it, amnesty was given. But no all of them had civil war (i.e. Mexico, Panama, Bolivia) – they were poor and came here and took advantage of the numerous amnesty periods INS gave out. BUT there is no amnesty and no help for Haiti!!! Its a crime to send them back and unfair. USA aught to be ashamed of itself
The Hatians are being sent back because they have black skin like AA’s. The other immigrants have white skin and are shown favor by the US. It’s not fair but it’s true.

In case you didn’t know Haitans are Black and they overthrew the Whites who owned slaves and occupied thye land.Infact when word reached the United States about the rebellion it made whites very nervous.
First of all, people are commenting on this in a racial slant (exactly what the writer of the story wanted) without knowing the total story. You don’t know the details behind all of this…you ASSUME….typical.
