Ne-Yo Addresses Gay Rumors After PEOPLE Comment

The “gentleman” of R&B has responded to the latest gossip and, he says, misinterpretation of comments he recently made to People magazine about his ATL neighbor Young Jeezy. Ne-Yo’s Web-issued statement reads in part: “One rule of being a gentleman is to keep your cool and composure at all costs, but right about now, I gotta loosen up this tie and take off this expensive suit jacket and talk to the people for a minute…Pardon my French, but what the f–k is wrong with y’all?!…I understand that a hater’s job is to hate, clearly. But it’s when people start feeding into what a hater is saying that something must be addressed…I tell People magazine that Young Jeezy’s crib is right next to mine and that, once, I saw him in there from across the way. I then make a JOKE about him maybe not wanting to walk around naked in his crib with the shades up ‘cause the buildings are THAT close to each other, and that AIN’T something I care to see. Suddenly, everybody thinks I said I saw Young Jeezy in his crib naked when NEVER ONCE did I say anything like that.” And there’s much, much more at Ne-Yo’s MySpace spot.

just be the best young man you can be.whatever your sexuality that is your business.within the african american american community we have so many issues of negativeness among one another its unreal.we do not grab one another enough ,to say how proud we are of ya.instead we always looking for some kind of negative criticisms of one another,no matter what our profession may or may not be.i like all my brothers and sisters rather rich or poor,we just all got to learn how to get along somehow someway.i am tired of all the haterisms.there is nothing here any of us can take with us when the good lord come calling to take us all home,not a house,bling,or anything else,just for me black folk show some love for one another and make america a better place for us all.leave this young man alone.

It’s kind of sad that everytime I read the responses to these articles on BET.com, everyone sounds looney. Come on people, Ne-Yo is an entertainer, not any of the commentors’ little brother or son. It is really not anyone’s place to call him names. If he’s gay, so be it. No woman or man on this site is dating him. He is not cheating on you or anything to that sort. He was just clarifying that he didn’t actually “see” Jeezy naked. Can we evolve as a group now.. Really!! Obama will be President in a week.
