Ne-Yo Addresses Gay Rumors After PEOPLE Comment

The “gentleman” of R&B has responded to the latest gossip and, he says, misinterpretation of comments he recently made to People magazine about his ATL neighbor Young Jeezy. Ne-Yo’s Web-issued statement reads in part: “One rule of being a gentleman is to keep your cool and composure at all costs, but right about now, I gotta loosen up this tie and take off this expensive suit jacket and talk to the people for a minute…Pardon my French, but what the f–k is wrong with y’all?!…I understand that a hater’s job is to hate, clearly. But it’s when people start feeding into what a hater is saying that something must be addressed…I tell People magazine that Young Jeezy’s crib is right next to mine and that, once, I saw him in there from across the way. I then make a JOKE about him maybe not wanting to walk around naked in his crib with the shades up ‘cause the buildings are THAT close to each other, and that AIN’T something I care to see. Suddenly, everybody thinks I said I saw Young Jeezy in his crib naked when NEVER ONCE did I say anything like that.” And there’s much, much more at Ne-Yo’s MySpace spot.

And to the fans when you accuse a man of being gay on National Television and the only comment he has is “no commet” the FBI would call that a CLUE! Do you honestly think that if asked Jay-Z, or Young Jeezy, Nas, would say some @%?$ like that! Hell No! So let Neyo be a fudge packer if he wants, one thing about him he can make beautiful music and he is well paid.

Why is it that every time a black man is doing well… other BLACK people have to find a way to bring a negative light to what he is doing? We talk about the white man this and the white man that when in fact we do FAR more damage to one another.
