NFL Player Sidelined Indefinitely After Facial Surgery

October 7th, 2008

NFL player sidelined indefinitely after facial surgery. Cardinals’ wide receiver Anquan Boldin will sit out indefinitely following a surgeon’s operation on the fractured sinus he suffered last week. Jets’ safety Eric Smith, who injured Boldin in a helmet-to-helmet hit, meanwhile, is appealing his punishment after he was fined $50,000 and suspended for the violation. Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhut says the surgeon who operated on Boldin performed the same procedure on a hockey player who returned to the ice 10 days later.

See how quick a dude’s carrier ended. Sad

His career is NOT over! He may have to sit out this season but there is always next year. Please don’t paint the picture of doom as of yet. As far as suspending the Jet player that had the collosion with Boldin. It was NOT intentional it was meerly a miscalculated hit. I was at the game. I saw what happened and despite the angles they show you on TV, the real truth of the matter is everyone felt bad at what happened.

it is unfortunate Boldin was hurt on the play, thankfully it wasn’t worse.i think that both defenders on the play sholud have been fined and or suspended.if the Jet player feels so bad why is he appealing the punishment.he’s lucky it wasn’t worse for him as well.

I watched this game and saw the play; it didn’t look as if the hit was intentional.
