N.Y. Giants Receiver Shoots Himself

New York Giants wide receiver Plaxico Burress , 31, accidentally shot himself in the leg on Friday night, according to reports. There are a few details available about the shooting but it is confirmed that the the wounds are not life-threatening. He spent last night in the hospital. “I don’t have anything for you at this stage,” Giants spokesman Pat Hanlon told The Associated Press at Giants Stadium. Burress has had his share of problems recently. He suffered an injured a hamstring two weeks ago against the Baltimore Ravens. The Giants also said Friday he would not play Sunday against the Redskins in Washington. The receiver was suspended for a game and fined $117,500 for missing a team meeting and failing to notify the team in advance that he would be absent. Then, the NFL fined him $45,000 for abusing an official and tossing a ball in the stands during a game against the San Francisco 49ers. Prior to this season, the receiver, celebrated for catching the winning pass in the Super Bowl game against the Patriots, signed a five-year, $35 million contract.

You are blowing it….it is time that you realize what your GOD given skills are.and concentrate on using them. Try to set a GOOD example for the young folk coming up behind you. You have had fun…enjoyed life…created capital…your oppurtinites are many. Please realize that there are many,many folk who envy you and your accomplishments. Forget shooting yourself. I’m really upset that you have paid $162,500 in fines. Must be nice to just throw money away like that. That money could have put a single mother like myself through grad school. Strong work!

i dont know if u will ever read this but i remember u when u were a little boy in the plaza in va bch. u use come over and play with my son john his sister is azure. i know how much your mother loved you and yr brother. u are not alone she may not be here in body but she is in your heart. u need to remember that.i know she is so proud of u and what u have done. think of were u came from and what u have know. your mother kept you and yr brother from all the things u could have gotten in to. be safe ther are people you knew u when and dont want anything from u.
