This officer not only leaves three children fatherless but what does his taking his own life teach them…..that when a problem arises that you can’t deal with death is the answer??? What is undofrtunate is that the suicidal VICTIM’S life was unnecessarily AND needlessly ended as a rsult of the unprofessional, hateful, ignorant actions of “police officers” … people who are SUPPOSED TO BE trained to keep the peace. Kmoney that is not a very nice thing to say. It seems like the mother ofthe 35 year old mentally disturbed person was taken very good care of him, but in his state of mind he was a lost soul. I have a brother who is mentally disturbed, and not for one minute would I wish death upon him or no one in his situation. God loves all people no matter what your mental ststus is.

What if you have a child that has a mental disability would you want someone to talk about them like you talk about the poor innocent guy who did not ask for that? And if your mother had a child like that what would you think she would have done? give it up for adoption or kill it?

That’s terrible….2 lives lost, police departments should check their protocol on situations like this.

I think both incidents are tragic. I believe police need to take more precautions when dealing with mentally ill people. There is no excuse for what they did to the victim because he was not mentally stable. I hope they can learn to prevent any future occurences. And also I’m saddened that the officer could not deal with his mistakes and had to resort to ending his life. KMoney you are a very hateful person. Please keep those ignorant comments to yourself .

Here was a police officer who was truly sorry for what he did and knew he made a mistake, but even in death he still gets spit on. Have respect for both families not just one of them. God Bless both families for what they are going through right now

I myself am not going to point fingers and pass judgements on anyone.. It’s sad enough that the victims’ families have the burden of having 2 deal w/ this tragic event but for sum1 2 actually leave insulting comments about the deceased is pathetic! let me get this straight… the man was on a 10ft high window ledge?? Perhaps the Lt. thought he’d fall in and not out??? This cop was orderd by WHO to stun the man?
