To everybody with their negativity towards Beyonce. You don’t have to like her,but you really should be honest with yourself. To the women who posted here with their mean comments, isn’t it really about your jealousy. No matter what you say, Beyonce is a beautiful and talented young woman, and you have to admit that. And for the ones who said she can’t sing….well, how much is in your bank account? because she can laugh all the way to the bank,what can you do? It’s okay not to like a performer if their way of performing is not your taste, but you need to be truthful. Nobody likes everybody, and for as many of you who don’t like her, there are just as many that do. Why is it you just can’t be happy for a person, why can’t you just wish them well and live your life for you, your way; instead of always trying to put somebody down. I am proud and happy for anyone in this world who does well for themselves, and if everybody tried, maybe you can do well too.

Actually, I feel that neither one is acceptable. Don’t get me wrong. These women are amazing and very talents. However it has been a great tradition that an opera singer sings the National Anthem at the Inauguration (most of them being African American) . Being a DC resident all my life, it is great to see that someone in the “high arts” is represented. There is a certain element of pomp and majesty at this event and I feel that it’s only right to show that African Americans can do much more than popular music (Rap, Hip-hop, R&B, Go-go) and “booty shake” in the videos…

What strikes me is that everybody saying Jennifer Hudson should sing it because she is in mourn. Okay more the reason for her to be at home with loved ones. How is Beyonce a tramp because she performs well… Was Tina Turner a tramp? Right. Yall sick of Beyone because she puts herself out there . She works hard. I am sorry about Jennifer family and everything but at the same time if she was to give a performance like beyonce you wouldnt be calling her a tramp. They have both had shots at doing the national anthem. You compare the two beyonce outdid jen. Jennifer has a great voice dont get me wrong have both of their cds, but jennifer over sings things just like she did the national anthem at the democratic party event. When she went to close the song she was already too high and was yelling by the end of the song…. Let beyonce do it.

Beyonce seems very “stuck on herself” and honestly, I’m tired of seeing her face and hearing her voice. (I’m still wondering why she’s the only member of Destiny’s Child who made it big) After seeing her “Put A Ring On It” video with my 8 year old daughter, I realized that she is not a role model for little girls. I will not allow my daughter to watch her videos anymore. There’s more to life than “hair slinging and a bunch of booty shaking”. Jennifer Hudson is the right woman for this job. Let’s keep the inauguaration classy and not like the back seat of Jay’s Maybach.

Beyonce demonstrated her lack of class when she put Mr. Obama on the spot by begging to sing at the inauguration in first place. Aretha is the best choice. Recognize that Beyonce pretty much stars as a “whore” in her own videos. She is very talentive and #1 for her fan base and I really like her movies. However, the inauguration is a classy affair, and Beyonce would be out-of-place. Furthermore it might reflect negatively on the President-elect if he chose her. R-E-S-P-E-C-T

Beyonce is not hating!! The media is blowing the entire situation out of control. When Jennifer won the oscar, she beat out more than just Beyonce. It was other Actresses nominated but the media just focused on those two.

Well I watched the inauguration and I was so inspired and proud to have our 44th President be an African American. Now concerning the singing, Beyonce did an okay job but, personally I am not a Beyonce fan. As a matter of fact , I would have rather heard Jennifer sing. I know Jennifer is still greiving and she has my prayers. As for Beyonce I don’t think she needs so much promotion and sometimes it makes people a little annoyed when they are constantly hearing her name. God has great things instore for Jennifer and she is a God given talent. Her gift will continue to open doors for her and I pray that she has someone like a second mom placed in her life.
