Obama Camp Dismisses Beyonce, Jennifer Hudson Inauguration Rumors

Beyonce and Jennifer Hudson

Obama camp dismisses Beyonce, Jennifer Hudson inauguration rumors. Beyoncé fans need not take out the claws just yet. The rumor circulating that she’s been beat out by Jennifer Hudson again isn’t true, says the Barack Obama camp. Apparently, speculation about Obama’s hometown connection to Hudson in Chicago mushroomed into word that the singer was asked to perform at Obama’s Jan. 20 presidential inauguration. Be, who was upstaged by Hudson’s Oscar win after they both appeared in the film Dreamgirls, expressed interest in singing at the White House. “An inauguration committee hasn’t even been formed yet,” says an Obama spokesman. No decision has been made about who’ll sing at the event, the rep says. Meanwhile, Hudson is still mourning the recent unsolved murders of three family members.

I think Jennifer Hudson would be a better choice, or Alicia Keys, Patti LaBelle, someone like that. Hopefully whomever will be responsible in the Obama camp to make the decision will take notice of blogs such as these and see that the majority of the people would not like to see Beyonce sing at the inauguration. But whomever sings…more power to you!

I feel that a gospel singer would also be appropriate. Shirley Caesar, Yolanda Adams, Mary Mary. But the best choice would probably be Donnie McClurkin—–You knowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

Please no Beyonce, please. Enough already.

DOES IT REALLY MATTERS WHO SINGS???? BEYONCE AND JENNIFER ARE BOUT GREAT SINGERS. ALTHOUGH JENNIFER HAS A SOULFUL VOICE, BEYONCE IS A GREAT SINGER. STOP SINGLING THEM OUT. IT IS A GREAT OPPORTUNITY FOR THE BOTH OF THEM. EVEN THOUGH SHE HAS BEEN SO MUCH AND MY HEART GOES OUT TO HER ITS TOTALLY UP TO THE PRESIDENT TO DECIDE. IT DOESN’T MATTER WHOEVER HE PICKS WOULD DO WELL NO ?S ABOUT IT

Can’t any of you READ!! The statement clearly reads there hasn’t even been a committee set up yet so stop all that crappy venting and get a life. If all you to say is negativity then just stay on my space on your own page. Beyonce is a great entertainer and so is Jennifer (whom my condolences go out to). too much more in the world to focus on so just get positive or shut up Clowns!!!!!!

Beyonce cant be THAT bad, Obama said it himself that his two daughters ADORE Beyonce and he took his kids to meet her. If Obama thought she was trashy (like Britney Spears and all these other whacky celebs) I highly doubt he would let his children be a fan of hers. I think J Hud is a very talented singer, but Beys been around longer and more people hands down would choose her first. And for the record Beyonces performed for the president on two occassions that I know of. If a white honky like Bush thinks she has class Im sure Obama will too.

I hope that Jennifer get to sing because she is a very good singer and I’m not hating on Beyonce or anything, It’s just time for someone else to take the spot light. She always had the spot every since Destiny Child. Camera was always on her and not the rest of the group. It’s time to share the spot light now Beyonce.

weaver Said on

I think they both should sing they both black thats what its all about!!!!!!!!!!!! WE DID IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think both these women are incredible singers. I feel like either one would be a great choice. I don’t think that beyonce is overly exposed. She does her thing and thats why so many people are attracted to her. Jennifer Hudson is still mourning of her families homocide, so she does deserve a shot at this. Plus she also does her thing and her voice is ridiculous. Either way, they will make a good decision.

Jennifer is the perfect person for that job, Beyonce needs to chill and focus on her husband. Even if Jennifer didn’t lose her family, this would be great for her. Her voice is incredible and can out sing Beyonce anytime. Oh and her new song if i was a boy……um didn’t Ciara do something like that already??? Yea Ciara’s song is WAY better!!!!

Dee Greene Said on

Jennifer would be nice if she got some more material in her tight dresses and covered up the girls. They look like rolls of paper towels. Not classy but great voice.

LET GOD DO WITH IT AS HE WILLS.
GOD IS GOD…………

I think they should Jennifer sing. She doesn’t have a reputation for shaking her goods to every song. It crazy to me that Beyonce thinks she is suppose to always have all the attention…..just because Destiny’s Child gave it to her doesn’t mean that everyone else will. Tell Beyonce to go rock herself ina corner somewhere……..”Its the ROC” LOL (I do love me some Jay Z though!)
