Obama Camp Dismisses Beyonce, Jennifer Hudson Inauguration Rumors

November 14th, 2008

Beyonce and Jennifer Hudson

Obama camp dismisses Beyonce, Jennifer Hudson inauguration rumors. Beyoncé fans need not take out the claws just yet. The rumor circulating that she’s been beat out by Jennifer Hudson again isn’t true, says the Barack Obama camp. Apparently, speculation about Obama’s hometown connection to Hudson in Chicago mushroomed into word that the singer was asked to perform at Obama’s Jan. 20 presidential inauguration. Be, who was upstaged by Hudson’s Oscar win after they both appeared in the film Dreamgirls, expressed interest in singing at the White House. “An inauguration committee hasn’t even been formed yet,” says an Obama spokesman. No decision has been made about who’ll sing at the event, the rep says. Meanwhile, Hudson is still mourning the recent unsolved murders of three family members.

I’m with you Maritza–I am not African-American. I am an American. I also choose other on an application. I have never been to Africa and if my funds do not increase considerably, I never will. Also, the Obamas have done very well with party planning without our help and I am a Communications major with a strong lean toward event planning and politics. I really could care less who sings, I won’t be there.

Beyonce is a very talented singer, and I love her music, but I think Jennifer should sing. Beyonce is more interested in shaking her ass and and having something up her back now. I honestly can’t believe she act like that. I think Beyonce is trying to keep up with Ciara dancing and can’t. Beyonce you waited till you were too old to be shaking your ass when you should have been doing that during Destiny Child days. You are too old and too thick to be constantly shaking your ass. Sit down.

Stop hatin…This is the problem with black folks, always got shyt going. Whomever gets to perform should be applauded and not ridiculed.

President Elect Obama is bigger than this yall!

My goodness…….most of you all are really bashing Beyonce’ when the truth of the matter is both young ladies are very talented. I share the same sentiments as jacinta513. It does not matter who they pick because both women are very talented in their own right. They have both worked hard for their acheivements and are both at the forefront of their industry, which is a wonderful acheivement and that’s what we should be applauding. I believe that both women are professional and would conduct themselves accordingly if chosen to perform at this historic event. We (as African Americans) do more tearing down of each other than any other race does of us. It’s time to stop! Lets follow the lead of our President Elect and unify and uplift one another. Stop trying to egg on what seems to me to be an attempt at a rivalry between these two ladies and show both of them our love and support. I am proud of both of you ladies and good luck to you both.

someone said beyonce has enough class to not shake around bull she always fronting like she is just this nice sweet person she is just trying to promote her album and movie thats why she wants to sing she doesnt care about nobody or what we say all she wants is more money when someone ask if she married she act like she all shy and don’t wanna speak about her private life but when shes trying to sell records she answer questions then dont she please let jennifer sing obama camp i live in the chicago area and people are sadden about what happen to her family this will kind of help jen a little

Ricki F Baby Said on

ok lets not say bey aint classy because she has performed without shaking her butt and showing all of her body parts. for the inauguration Jennifer would be the better candidate and she should get her time to shine whereas beyonce has had her days and yes shes becoming more and more cocky and in my opinion her days are coming to an end..she cant act and her voic jus aint the same

BISHA Said on

Well Beyonce might be having it all but really some of us are tired of her monotony.I believe HUDSON deserves this opportunity not because she has a history with Obama but because she knows how to do her thing. She will be able to bring out the true emmotions of people on that day.WHY DONT BEYONCE SIT DOWN AND GIVE OTHERS THE CHANCE?

Hype85 Said on

I am outraged by yall behavior – No two person can be the same. Beyonce and Jennifer has their unique qualities. Instead of trying to start a fight between the two young ladies as to who has a better voice you all should be asking God to keep blessing them with the beautiful harmonies that we all love to hear so much. I am tired of seeing Jennifer and Angelina fight over Brad or Brit and Kfed fight over their kids, We don’t need you people to start up “Better Voice/Performer” fight between Jen and Bey. As for me i would love to see them both bring down the stage together that night and one more thing Jeniffer could really use your prayers instead of this, the girl just lost her family.

Hype85 Said on

One more thing – I am proud that both these young ladies are African American. Beyonce had come along way so as Jennifer. Please People i am truly tired of black people fighting each other – The time has come for a change let change be people. If you know your History you would stop with this foolishness, It is utterly disgusting. God created these young ladies equally and you People have no right to be placing them in categories. STOP NOW and think of what you are doing to these young ladies. Obama says it time for a change – I want to see this change in many different things including this negative media stuff which can affect the lives of these young people.

The choices made for entertainment depend on the Obama camp. Let them decide! My vote though is for some classic r &b!

I am quite sure everyone that hating on Beyonce or JHud can not match there gifts in any way, but thats always how it is! The people with no talent always got an opinion!

I am a complete BEYONCE fan! Both ladies can be very classy in this event!
But i do believe it schould be Beyonce!

Jennifer has a much better voice. Be just has a big ass

sumthingtellsme Said on

Beyonce is more competitive then she is a star. She likes to try a prove she is better at singing your song, playing your part or whatever just because she is beyonce. Beyonce wants to spotlight on her all the time!! Because of her is hot RIGHT now she is getting ask to do a lot of things just with her name alone. She is not that great her name is and so is the money everyone is trying to make

de Said on

i think that they should both sing at the event plus u have to think for a moment with the death of her brother, mother, and nephew ,godrest their souls, will she be ok to sing

Denize Said on

I will bet you $100.00 that whoever sings at that event is gonna be totally unexpected and not going to be a black musical CLASSY affair like my boy Bill Clinton had who even played the Sax himself and had a real blow out party being FIRST, Hah, Haters to bring the Black folks into the WHITE house! Now, chunk that news in your tea, and see if I did not tell you first! How quickly we forget who put Money in our pockets and kept the Oil Barons from stealing the oil and our Pensions. Who had the BEST foreign relations policy and the foreign people LOVE him! How quickly we forget! Sometimes we need a reminder!

Nini Said on

Ok, Beyonce can’t help it because she was blessed with talent. So why hate on the girl? Jen is also very talented, and it really shouldn’t matter who sings because they both are very wonderful people. I wish these chicks stop saying all of this negative stuff about Beyonce just because they wished that they looked like her and had the swag like her. (LOL) It doesnt matter who President Obama picks to sing, just know that we will have a good preformance…Man, the nerve of some people to just jump on the site and start dissin’ people just because they lacking in some areas. Get a life and stop hatin’ on Beyonce. If jen gets picked then great, and if Beyonce gets pick then that’s cool too. Stop trying to make such a big and negative deal out of a situation that’s meant to mean something special.
