Obama Camp Dismisses Beyonce, Jennifer Hudson Inauguration Rumors
November 14th, 2008

Obama camp dismisses Beyonce, Jennifer Hudson inauguration rumors. Beyoncé fans need not take out the claws just yet. The rumor circulating that she’s been beat out by Jennifer Hudson again isn’t true, says the Barack Obama camp. Apparently, speculation about Obama’s hometown connection to Hudson in Chicago mushroomed into word that the singer was asked to perform at Obama’s Jan. 20 presidential inauguration. Be, who was upstaged by Hudson’s Oscar win after they both appeared in the film Dreamgirls, expressed interest in singing at the White House. “An inauguration committee hasn’t even been formed yet,” says an Obama spokesman. No decision has been made about who’ll sing at the event, the rep says. Meanwhile, Hudson is still mourning the recent unsolved murders of three family members.

I like Beyonce and all but she’s been all over the place. Everytime you turn around, there she is. It’s like she’s trying so hard to be “the one” everyone’s talking about. It’ like give it a rest girl and go set down somewhere….have some babies with Jay-Z or something and give someone else a chance to shine!
Ultimately, it’s the Obama camp that will decide who sings at the Inauguration, but I like the idea of having Marvin Sapp “Never Would’ve Made It” sing as someone else had mentioned or Stevie Wonder.
FANTASIA!!! Yes, yes, yes, let FANTASIA BARINO sing at the Obama Presidential Inauguration!
Looking through this, I see that us embarking on having a racially mixed president hasn’t changed a thing. It’s sad that people sit at their computers and spew negative slurs about things they really have no clue about. In order for the world to change, we have to start with ourselves. None of us is without sin. Why all the negativity? Remember the old saying… ‘If you can’t say nothing nice, say nothing.’ Even when someone is talking negatively about someone to me, I stop them dead in their tracks. I don’t want to hear things like that. Everyone in this world is trying to ‘make it’. Some have it harder than others. Please let us try to be more aware of what we say and how it hurts others. I didn’t mean to get on my soapbox, but it’s just sad how there are those that cut others down for no reason just to make themselves fel better. What’s more sad is how easy it is for people to jump on the bandwagon and cosign on the negative before they will agree with the positive. I watched Oprah yesterday and Beyonce’ is a very lovely young lady. Jennifer has remained down to Earth even with her new found fame. Blessings to you all~
B is my girl but jennifer is to but beyonce just need to chill she had her shine its jennifer time now B cant be in evrything and cnt always be the best but i wish jennifer the best n giveher my blessings
I dont care what everybody said , Obama foreva ! n I luv Beyonce’.
I LOVE BEYONCE BUT I ALSO LOVE JENNIFER. I KNOW THET BE MAY HAVE BEEN UPSET, AS WOULD ANYONE WHO IS BEAT OUT IN A COMPETITION, BUT SHE IS A BEAUTIFUL PERSON WHO HAS MOVED ON. PPL NEED TO STOP TRYING TO FUEL A RIVALRY. THIS AIN’T A FREESTYLE BATTLE!
Who give’s a sh** Who sings Pps IS THAT REALY A POINT???????????????/
Who give’s a sh** Who sings
>>>>> BEYONCE NEEDS TO GIVE THE WORLD A BREAK ‘ SHE IS JUST OVERLY EXPOSED…… I REALLY THINK IT’S UNSYMPATHETIC OF HER TO KNOW THAT JENNIFER IS FROM CHITOWN LIKE OBAMA AND THEREFORE SHOULD’NT HAVE EVEN PUT HER NAME OUT THERE…. ALICIA KEYS DIDNT DO IT…….WHY SHOULD SHE????? OBAMA MIGHT NOT CHOOSE EITHER, IF HE DECLINES EITHER MOST LIKELY JHUD DECLINED DUE TO THIS TRADEGY, IF JHUD IS ASKED AND ‘ACCEPTS SHE DESERVES IT, AFTER ALL SHE SANG AT THE ‘CONVENTION FOR OBAMA’ GET OUT THE WAAAAY BEYYYYYYYY!!!!
I personally like both singers but i hope Jen wins this one. But B is my girl too, she just needS to GIVE SOME1 ELSE A CHANCE TO BE IN THE SPOTLIGHT!!!!!!!
My pick would be to have Dianne Reeves sing…that sista been around for a long time and can TRULY SING!!
I agree with Debra, I feel that YOLANDA ADAMS would be the best choice for a singer at the inaguration. She exudes Godly spirituality, she’s classy and she crosses class, age, gender, and racial lines. Love & Blessings.
you know what, this type of drama is not needed !!! we have a new president, 1st black president in history !!! and all anyone can worry about is who is gonna sing on january 20th !!! come on people, get real, leave the gossip and rumors for the shallow people, we have bigger fish to fry … personally, whoever ends up doing this will no doubt bring it !!! LET THE OBAMA CAMP DO THEIR THING WITHOUT THE AID OF ALL U “MS. BENITA’S” SITTIN IN THE WINDOW WORRIED ABOUT OTHER PEOPLES BUSINESS !!!! WE ARE GOING TO D.C. FOR PRESIDENT OBAMA !!! NOT SOME HOLLYWOOD CONCERT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Beyonce is so tired that even Tina Turner wore her behind out. sorry but i think Jennifer needs and deserves this much more then Beyonce. as a matter of fact did anyone ever wonder who was the one who actually began the rumors? the industry starts these rumors, so things like whats happening, happen, competition begins and then record sales go thru the roof, interviews get scheduled, etc all so they can make money. and yes Beyonce has a very good voice. but yet so does Jennifer and i think Obama would do well to show his hometown that he hasnt forgotten them, nor the voters who put him into office. it isnt something that’s going to happen overnight and you know what im sure he will have events where both of them will be able to perform not only by themselves but also as a duet
Working with alot of stars I see alot of grief and tiresome aggrivations. And honestly I expect to see it because this is a hard industry. But it always amazes me when people pass judgement on people and they don’t even know them. So you’ve seen Beyonce perform and J Hud as well., but that doesnt mean you know them. I am honored to say that I know them both. They are great to work with and are both really humble, and believe it or not , they support each other. I know that who ever sings they will still be there no matter what. Because after all this will be a historic day for the U.S , especially African Americans. I know I will be there with bells on !!!!!!
I say call on Whitney Houston, Anita Baker or Diana Ross. Classy mature ladies.
I think that the word ”’Hater”" & “”The Phrase A Person Opinion”" is taken out of content. I think both are talented young ladies. But, sometimes a person can get sooooo selfish that particular person can’t see it for themself. I think that this is the case with Bey. I just want to know if Bey gave her respect to Jennifer during her crisis????? Not, by seending a card or Flowers. I am talking about actually showing up @ the Funeral. I don’t think that Bey should be considered for anything!!!!!!!! Because, I didn’t hear anything about Bey being @ the Funeral. Why???? didn’t Bey sing @ the Funeral????? It’s funny how u will accept the President invitation to sing. But, u couldn’t sing @ her Family’s Funeral. Like, I said ……. U are a talented person. So, basically all of this Drama doesn’t matter!!!!!!!! Because the way I see it >>>>>>> If u didn’t have that respect for Jen, then u sure don’t have it for your President. No matter what the situation was!!!!!!!!!
well, i love Be a lt but i do think we need a little morality at such an event and she is just not the right person. I believe Jenny is the best or better still Jordin Sparks. We do not need anyone to wear short skimmpy and socialy unfit clothing to disgrace Obama and the Black community.
my apinuinon is let your hair hang jenn and bee fall back and to my new man in office you go obmma…
I really hope Jennifer sings at the inauguration beyonce needs to stop being selfish ans sit down somewhere.
