Obama image found hanging on Kentucky campus
. Authorities at the University of Kentucky are trying to find out who hanged a life-sized stuffed doll of Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama on campus (the bottom of the display is pictured). The Obama likeness was found hanging from a tree on campus Wednesday morning, college spokesman Carl Nathe said. Police immediately took it down. School President Lee Todd says that he plans to personally apologize to the Obama family on behalf of the university and that he is “personally offended and deeply embarrassed by this disgusting episode.” It’s the second time an effigy has been found on a college campus recently. Earlier this week, George Fox University in Oregon said it was punishing four students who confessed to hanging a likeness of Obama from a tree. Obama wasn’t the only victim of such pranks. Secret Service agents recently visited a California home where a mannequin of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin hangs from a noose. The display also features John McCain surrounded by fake flames coming out of the bungalow’s chimney. Deputy Special Agent in Charge Wayne Williams told The Associated Press that so far that incident seems to be a harmless Halloween display. He said they are not treating it as a threat.

EVERYONE IS ENTITLE TO VOICE THEIR OPINIONS BECAUSE SOME OF US CAN’T HELP IT IF OUR PARENTS CORRUPTED THEIR MINDS AT AN EARLY AGE. THIS WHOLE ELECTION IS A FEAR TO SOME BUT NOT MOST, TO SEE A EDUCATED BLACK MAN WHO HAS NO WEAPONS FORMED AGAINST SHALL NOT PROSPER. THIS IS OBAMA SEASON AND WHEN MCCLAIN HAS HIS SEASON THE LORD WILL DETERMINE HIS TIME. BUT IN 2008 OBAMA IS THE NEXT PRESIDENT. BELIEVE THAT!!!!

To add to that, the feeling is always going to be strong and deep rooted for black people Daniel because our black men and boys were actually hung from trees for decades after being tortured. So, we take it much more seriously and rightfully so. I wish one day that this whole mind set would end! I will continue to pray for Obama and his familys safety. May God Bless America!

I totally agree with the people who are very angry on what happened at the University of Kentucky, but peoples perception of Kentucky as a whole in untrue. I work at the University and have seen first hand what ignorance can cause. Neither kentucky nor the state as a whole should be looked down upon just because of ONE person who was never taught any better. We all are very upset about what has happened and demand answers just like everybody else. All we can do is prya for the person and hope that the authorities find and punish the person responciible.

I would love it if BArack Obama won…..but he won’t….trust me they wouldn’t allow it to happen. and on the slight chance he does win, i’m sure there will be more ppl like like those two crazy guys who planned to get rid of him, God forbid. I feel a lot of Americans are riding the bandwagon right now. Its easy to vote for Obama in polls that don’t really count, but when it comes down to that day, that moment when they have to put the mark by Obama, they’ll chicken out, and go with McCain.
I do not agree with the Palin effigy in CA, but that was at a home and hung from a garage not a tree. I think there is a difference given the history of what has been done to blacks in the past by this country, not to mention the fact that there was a recent threat on Obama’s life by a white supremacist group.I also think it would be wrong if it were a Jew hanging too given their history. I’m sorry but if you think that behavior is acceptable you have a real mental problem my friend.God put black people here too and history will show you that we are not going anywhere no matter who is against us.Racism is stupid, God didn’t make one type of flower, or plant or even sunset. Think about it, He diversified the entire creation and all of space.Grow up, get a life and some self esteem and then you’ll have no reason to hate on someone else.

Civilized people don’t hang, drag or kill other people because of skin color. Animals have more sense than Americans. Americans would rather blow up the planet than to have a non-black president.
