Obama Is Voters’ First Choice So Far
June 19th, 2008Not only is he beating McCain, but he’s even whipping him in battleground states

Sen. Hillary Clinton, during the heat of the primary battle against Sen. Barack Obama, argued that Democrats were better off voting for her because her young African-American rival didn’t stand a chance against Republican John McCain in the general election. But two new national surveys suggest that she might have violated the first rule of war: underestimating your opponent. Nationally, according to a Zogby poll released Wednesday, Obama is favored 47 percent to 42 percent over McCain; the Illinois senator has a stunning 22-point lead among Independents. In three of the battleground states, where Clinton said that only she could defeat McCain, Obama is also an early favorite. The Quinnipiac University polls have Obama beating McCain 52 percent to 40 percent in Pennsylvania , 48 percent to 42 percent in Ohio , and 47 percent to 43 percent in Florida . All three states are crucial building blocks to an election triumph for either candidate in November. And when it comes to women, McCain apparently hasn’t been successful in wooing disgruntled Clinton supporters. In Florida , Ohio and Pennsylvania , women are latching onto Obama’s message 10 percent to 23 percent of that of McCain. As for men; it’s “too close to call,” says Quinnipiac University Polling Institute assistant director Peter Brown said. “Finally getting Senator Hillary Clinton out of the race has been a big boost for Sen. Barack Obama,” he said. And not only has Clinton been wrong so far about Obama’s pull, but the Independent voters in all three states said they don’t want Clinton to be Obama’s presidential running mate. “Senator Obama is certainly not out of the woods, but these results are a good indication that he enters the summer slightly ahead in the race to be the next president,” Brown said. “If Senator Obama seriously is thinking about picking Senator Clinton as his running mate, these numbers might cause him to reconsider. …”The people who really matter come November – Independent voters – turn thumbs down on the idea. And, many say they are less likely to vote for him if he puts her on the ticket.”

If the Voter’s just look at the facts, he will will elected. He understands our needs, the rest of the world is catching up, China and India, will be superpowers in ten years, if things don’t change we will be left out in the cold!
The main people that the media said will not vote for Mr Obama will vote for him . They have the same sons and daughters as you and I, and they are tired of them dying for a war that should not have been started from day one.And these same people use the same gas as us, and have to pay for their mortagages also.
Umlaw why have you not made a comment on this issue?
Why would ppl not vote 4 Obama if he decides to make her vice president?? That’s the most stupdiest excuse I’ve heard all year!! Either way ima still vote for Obama. If he decides 2 pull Hillary along with him or not. Bottom line is…he’s waaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyy better thank McCain. McCain is just another Bush. And that’s the last thing we all need. Another Bush in office.
I congradulate Sen. Obama on getting this far, and I want the world to know that I appreciate his courage, his braviory, and his sacrifice. He is a true statesman and will be a wonderdul president. Please folks elect this man because of the changes he wants to bring to th country and not for the color of his skin. I Love him and believe that he have the poor man’s best interest at heart.

Obama is truly “something of a phenomena”. I don’t think he can be stopped at this point.
Obama is one of the greatest men alive today and I am proud to be part of his legacy.
Let’s face it. We haven’t had a decent human in many offices to do the will of “what’s decent” for all Americans and the world of friends for as long time. I vote Obama.
Go OBAMA!!!! YES! I agree that Hillary Clinton is not the right VP for Orack Obama. I pray that the Lord will reveal to him and his staff who it is that he should consider, because I feel that she (Hillary) would be TROUBLE!
GOD bless Obama and his family!
For those of us who are Obama supporters, this is good news. However, it is still a little too early to be celebrating. When the time comes, be sure to get out and vote. Don’t be too confident in the numbers thinking there’s enough to get him in office already. Every vote counts, be sure yours is one of them!
I AGREE 100 PERCENT WITH YOU CaT…..REMEMBER TO VOTE VOTE VOTE VOTE……..GO OBAMA GO
CaT, you took the words from me before they could dribble clumsily from my.lips. These preliminary polls mean nothing if we don’t follow them up with the action of pressing the button, or pulling the lever or whatever your polling machine does to tally your vote. Be there and be accountable. Be responsive, and be responsible. Let’s not assume, let’s create the better future for our children. Obama 08!
I’m all for obama!his running mate should be chosen with a lot of care. clinton is definately not it!
Yes,,let us make sure our 18yr old children that can vote, vote,I dont want to hear anything about,,AfricanAmerican are only voting because his is African,,So what,,White American’s have been voting and putting there kind in office for years and thought nothing of it,,for they feel it’s their right to control the world and the people in it,We must not forget, that four hundred year’s of building this country for free,,it’s now time for some true pay off,,So Yes,WE WILL VOTE AND PUT MR OBAMA IN THE WHITE HOUSE,,
BARACK the vote!!!!
Tell the truth you know if he wins i do not think ever again look at dinkins or do you know who dinkins is you know who you are and iknow me and my people look at L.A.how much longer can i last come on fam do not let me down for once
These poll results do not surprise me. However, I cannot help but wonder why the impact of the African American vote is never mentioned in the media.
Certainly, a running mate has to be chosen very carefully. And I do believe that in spite of what other idiots say, we should trust Barack’s judgement
I think that human emotions are getting in the way of good sense, political necessity and expediency. Take the emotion out of the equation and you will all realise that the only running mate who will make the fight for the White House a “walk in the park” is Hillary Clinton.
You people talk about the “cons” of having her as the Veep, but in doing so you are really “dissing” Obama because it seems to me that what you are really saying is that he would be unable to control her. My friends, his name is Barack Obama, not Bill Clinton.
Stop paying lip service and have real faith. Look at what he has been able to accomplish so far. Don’t just say you support the man. Support the man!!! His strategies have paid off – don’t second guess him now.
What’s wrong with you people!!!
OBAMA ‘08!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THIS IS DESTINY!!!!
