Obama Praises His Former Rival

January 20th, 2009

President-elect Barack Obama, praising former presidential rival Sen. John McCain for bucking the trend of party politics, said Monday that America’s business isn’t about being Democratic or Republican.  “I could stand here and recite the long list of John’s bipartisan accomplishments …” Obama said at the traditional bipartisan inaugural dinner. “Campaign finance reform. Immigration. The Patients’ Bill of Rights. All those times he has crossed the aisle and risked the ire of his party for the good of his country. And yet, what makes John such a rare and courageous public servant is not the accomplishments themselves, but the true motivation behind them.” Now, Obama continued, it’s time to let Monday’s event kick off a new era in American politics. “We will not always agree on everything in the months to come, and we will have our share of arguments and debates,” Obama said. “But let us strive always to find that common ground, and to defend together those common ideals, for it is the only way we can meet the very big and very serious challenges that we face right now.” Showing his comedic side, Obama said, “I’m here tonight to say a few words about an American hero I have come to know very well and admire very much – Sen. John McCain,” Obama said as he opened his speech. “And then, according to the rules agreed to by both parties, John will have approximately 30 seconds to make a rebuttal.”

Not to change the subject, but what’s up with the Clintons,I was checking
out their body langauge and they seems real uncomfortable. They didn’t
even acknowlege the Carters and Jessie Jackson Jr when Jackson and the
Carters try to shake their hands. Bill had no prolem cozing up with Greoge
W. Bush. I could have swore when the camara scan on the Clinton face,
while President Obama spoke their faces were green with envy. I swear I
am so happy for this day, I’m going to write it down in in some kind of
note pad and laminate it for life, so it can be around for generation….

President Obama has more class in his pinky that a lot of men have in their whole bodies. He is a role model to young black boys without role models. He makes you want to work harder, be smarter and be stronger. Some folks are just not gonna accept President Obama and that’s fine. He and his family have taken all kinds of shyt and come out smelling like roses. I will never trust the Clinton’s again after the way they campaigned against Obama and yes they did look odd at the inaguration lunch. But our president is already showing that he can and will work with BOTH sides of the aisle. This country is not made up of only democrats so it won’t be only democrats to help fix it. It takes all of us, if you’ve never done any community service (not court ordered) it’s time to start. Don’t just sit back and expect President Obama to work magic we all need to help. I am so happy right now…please excuse me while I dance……my president is black. History has been made!

Ok… so what if the Clinton’s were giving of bad vibes…hey let it go ..we can’t continue to keep up the mess. If the Clinton’s still harbor the pain of hurt of a great loss…and a great loss it was…just give them a lil more time ..they will get over it. As a people we must move on just like Obama is trying to bring everyone together we all must do that same. It’s all for all for the better that we work together no matter what. Obama is a strong man of peace and good …hes so right on. lets follow his example and do what ever we can to bring this thing together….gonna be some bumpy spots along the way …but LETS DO IT!!! MAY GOD BLESS US ALL…PEACE!

Shannlinwo, The Clinton’s body language was a bit off and smiles a bit forced. There’s nothing wrong with saying that on a blog. So what if you don’t like us talking about it this ain’t your personal blog. PEACE AND GOD BLESS TO YOU TOO!
