BET is no longer Black owned……DUHHHHHHHH!

I know this is not news, but we can’t expect too much from BET. I mean, if it doesn’t have anything to do with the music industry or crazy reality shows, they really don’t have much to say. I mean school starts back around January 6 after the Christmas Holidays. With the Obama’s status and money, we all know there will be some accomodations made in the Washington, D.C. area for the Obamas to live for a couple of weeks. I’m sure there are some very nice hotels suites in the area. So, let us focus on the change that is coming and not who will be living in the White House with the Obamas, where they will live, and what they do when they get there. The only thing that I am concerned is the change Pres. Obama is bringing so that my son can have a better chance in life.

You know what is happening in our country right now is so important to this nation and African American ( Black) people as a whole. I am so excited and grateful to see that the majority of us could see how unimportant this new is, and should not have even been released. We have to much to be proud of and much bigger fish to fry, than deal with nonsense like this. Hey BET the election is over, and now the real batte is about to begin. This Honorable man is really going to need our support. Believe me, it was A GREAT honor to Make History, Now He and WE have to Preserve It. WE NEED TO STAY FOCUS. YES WE CAN

There is nothing racial about this “news” article. Then again “THIS IS NOT NEWS AT ALL”. You absolutely can’t blame them for trying, I would have too. I agree with the other comments, I love the Obama’s with all my heart but I don’t want every strory to be about race. I think that Obama is a strong man and will not allow that to happen, quietly anyways. I believe the tradition should stay in place. I would like to know what is going on there until Jan 15th. BET….can you tell us that? That just might be considered news! Did you ever think that maybe the Obama’s were bright enough to have several back up plans?

I agree with the majority of the posters. This is NOT NEWS!!! BET stop trying to incite an argument. Now if you want to talk about changing the format of your television programming to something that inspires our younger generation to want to become doctors, lawyers, teachers, etc…, then I’m totally with you. And if President (I’m tired of saying elect) Obama wants to come to DC earlier to get his daughters in school, I’m all for it. I’m sure they can spare a few dollars to rent a place for a month until they are in the White House. I do appreciate them wanting to get their daughters acclimated to their new school environment asap. Great parents, and soon to be Great First Family!!! LOVE THEM!!!!

It is tradition that the new President moves in 5 days before inauguration. Not being able to move in A MONTH EARLY because it is unavailable is not something to report on. I am more than sure that if there were no visitors scheduled to stay between now and Jan. 15, the Obamas would be in now. Find some news and give me a real story!

Truth is reality. The Obama family is not worried about moving in so early at this time. After the 20th, they will be in the White House. As as we watch with closely during the election, one of his major concerns was all about “Education”. Making sure that everyone received the same education and resources.
