One Million Homeless After Haiti’s Hurricanes
September 16th, 2008

A million are left homeless in Haiti after hurricanes.
The series of hard-hitting storms back to back in Haiti could have left about 1 million of the country’s citizens homeless, says Prime Minister Michele Pierre-Louis. A total of four storms (Faye, Gustav, Hanna and Ike) slammed the nation in just a few weeks, destroying towns and killing over 550 people. Pierre-Louis appealed to the international community to help Haiti. “We need major support and it is time for the world to understand that. We’ve suffered too much in this country,” she said. A portion the city of Gonaives will have to rebuild somewhere else due to damage it suffered from the hurricane. She also told the BBC that if things don’t get better in the nation soon, she could be ousted from office by angry citizens. Even before the killer storms pummeled the tiny island nation, it had the dubious distinction of being the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere, and many were starving to death.

the problem is that they are more focused on war, killing innocent children and stealing other countries resources that don’t stand back and take a look at the problem sad to say though they ain’t goin help them anyways they on they on red heck bush don’t give a flying %#%%
WE as a nation must stop, watch and pray for those who are affected by these natural disasters. If the Lord puts it on your heart to give or volunteer, please do so, you will be richly blessed!!!
We need to help our people. Haiti needs us right now. I know there are alot of us with clothes hanging in the closet that we have not worn or probably won’t be wearing. Give that stuff to the people of Haiti. Support the fund raisers ohn thier efforts to help the country. I am! We can’t sit around and wait on those republicans to do anything. They have proven to us over and over that they aren’t doing what they should be doing.
Where can I find out how to help Haiti? I am sick and tired of this fake leadership of our country! I wasn’t going 2 vote but now I am! I just feared of another 2000 election repeating itself. But atleast I will know where my vote went even if it doesn’t turn out how I expect…..
I’m feel bad for all the families who live Haiti right now. I hope that in time they will be able to rebuild and replace what was lost. I hope that the families are getting the help that they need.
