I live in Detroit, I’m not saying what Mayor Kilpatrick did was right however he is 38 years old like me if you have seen Detroit when he first started office you would have said Detroit has nothing here especially Downtown Detroit since he has been in office there is so much youth in the area the suburan folks are in our Midtown and Downtown area 7 days a week I don’t think another Mayor could have done what he did. I’m only upset because he should have told the truth and the city would not have been sued for the 8 millinon dollars I pay taxes and I’m paying for that. Now his sexual life outside his marriage I really could care less that is personal however when it comes to doing city offical business building Detroit he did it. Come see for your self.

Vickie, I feel U. I really do, but the issue here is not what he did for the city, which WAS substantial. Its about his character. Character matters. It does. Some people act as if you can disassociate one from another but you can’t. We are what we do, not what we say we do. The question is not whether there is any among us who are without sin. The question is should a person who aspires to be in public office be a person of integrity. I say they do. I say character and integrity counts for something and should be highly valued by those who are making the choice to be led by this leader. Someone once said that “People get the government that they deserve.” Well, maybe crooked, lying cheating politicians is all we deserve, since we want to defend them every time one of them is exposed for who they really are.
