I teach my students about racism and prejudice. I want our youth to know that the world we live in has changed but…Its so much more WE need to change about it!! I think this incident at a Instutite of Higher Education speaks volumes!!!! This election is historical….no matter what happens!! Our world is changing…embrace it…..change with it….different views, different thoughts….different you and I!!!

This is a sure sign of total IGNORANCE and IMMATURITY, so be it! OBAMA FOR PRESIDENT 2008 – 20012!!!

When GOD created us he made us all different but we are still his CHILDREN.. Most are not focusing @ the problem @ hand they are focusing on the color of the skin. Like previously mentioned in a comment when will we all come together as one and stop the seperation of skin color.. God didn’t make a perfect person. And no matter what others have to say OBAMA has my vote not because he is black but because I feel it’s time for AMERICA to see what a black man could do for this hurting economy.

It’s sad because I have always known WHITES are just jealous of Black people…I mean their skin is thinner, so they wrinkle faster (or should i just say their skin ages faster). At old ages we look younger than them longer. For ex. Halle Berry is still doing make up commercials and the only time i see white woman her age doing it is if its an anti-aging commercial…..Also You can easily see when their skin is bruised and they turn red with certain emotions. WE DON’T HAVE THAT ISSUE and i know at times they wish they didn’t. They can’t last too long in the sun…their skin burns faster in the sun. They get lice in their hair…They get warts and cold sores…MOST black people NEVER get those. We excell in athletics, they do not (Well, in most cases we are better at sports) BELIEVE IT OR NOT WE ARE SMARTER…The ancient Egyptians are known to be the most intelligent people ever. EVERY African student I have EVER known was the most intelligent in the class. African- Americans are just lazy sometimes, that doesn’t make us stupid….Americans in general are just lazy compared to some countries….that includes whites as well. However, we ALL originated in Africa…blacks, whites, hispanics, asians, indians….More about Black people: We have rythmn. We have soul. We can sing, dance, do anything we put our minds to. AND DO THEY NOT KNOW HOW IMPORTANT WE ARE TO THIS COUNTRY????…We help build this country….We fought in their wars and were not acknowledged…for example THE VIETNAM WAR…WE fought that war!!! We came up with sooooo many inventions that almost NO AMERICAN could go a day without using at least six of them!!! I could go ON and ON about how much better we are…But i don’t usually put other races down because YES they are important as well…They are great at things too, but I won’t let any man say we are inferior because we DEFINITELY are NOT….They are childish, narrow-minded, jealous individuals!!!! WE ARE ALL EQUAL…..

I applaud Nikki for her beautiful heart and mind. I hope she fights to stay the way she is as she grows older. The world needs more people like her and far less people like Miss Sharon. What a nasty, rude and disrespectful way to address a young person that was actually challenging we adults to act more like adults. Shame on you Miss Sharon. This incident at this Christian institution just reminds us that hate knows no boundaries and respects no individual. People can hide behind Christianity and do hateful things just like people can hide in Islam and feel justified murdering folks. Just because someone claims to be a follower of God, doesn’t mean that they have a personal relationship with God. You can “know about” God and not know Him personally. We all know about Oprah Winfrey. We know her company Harpo is Oprah spelled backwards. We know that she dates Stedman; she owns a 50 million dollar home in Santa Barbara, California. We know her best friend’s name is Gail, but if you ask any of us if we know her personally? The answer is No! The racist behavior of this person doesn’t reflect on Christianity. It reflects solely on the individual who did it. Racial hatred originates from fear of the unknown and is self perpetuating. The person who hates people they don’t know does so because they have no interaction on a significant level with the object of their hatred, thus they never develop a relationship to challenge their erroneous beliefs. Senator Barack Obama has conducted himself admirably throughout his battle with Hillary and McCain and continues to destroy many off the stereotypes that many white people believe about black folk. That’s one of the biggest reasons I want Obama to win. It changes the game totally. no longer can anyone claim that we can’t handle one of the most difficult jobs in the world….running the most powerful nation on the planet. Go Obama Go! And to you haters…Remember one thing. The dinosaurs are extinct because they couldn’t make the change. You too are a dying breed.

Actually I am very interested in politics….I know a lot about current issues and also a lot about history….By the way, I want to major in History. I know enough and you did not have to take offense because I was not referring to you about that.

Also, Lynn, I agree everything is not “peaches and cream”, but have self-control and yes, I get upset, but I do not allow may anger to over take me.

I’m not saying I never get very angry, but cussing is not in my heart, so in a “heated” situation those would not be the words to come out. Whatever you allow in your spirit comes out in the flesh. That is not what I allow in my spirit.

Racism exist everywhere and as long as we can acknowledge it than we can set goals to do something about it. Again reading some of the other comments made me angry but as long as we can remember what we stand for and remember that we are not alone, than I know we can handle the situation positively and proactively. Showing them zero tolerance.
