Pamela On Politics: Could Efforts To Pacify Clinton Be The Democrats’ Undoing?

August 15th, 2008

Hillary Clinton just can’t believe that she is not her party’s nominee

Hillary Clinton
Pamela On Politics: Now that the loser of the Democratic nomination for president has secured her primetime television spot during the party convention and wrangled a way to have her name placed in nomination, it’s not clear if one should admire her tenacity or pity her inability to accept defeat. If the white folks that supports MsClinton won’t support Mr Obama and they throw their votes at Mr McCain . Then they will have them selves to blame for the next four years of death and misery he and his party will bring. And when the death toll for white American boys get to high they will be the first to protest.

THERE IS IS GOD!
grouchy_greg has made a new post: P. Miller Launces Better Black Television. Entrepreneur P. Miller today confirmed the launch of Better Black Television, a family-oriented cable network set to debut in 2009. Dubbed BBTV, the network promises to cover the diverse experience of African-American culture by offering a myriad of genres: politics, movies, teen and children’s educational programming, animation, sports, and news. In response to the criticism leveled at BET’s music video choices, the network has guaranteed to deliver “responsible Hip-Hop music and videos.” P. Miller will oversee the channel as its chairman and CEO. The advisory board team includes Oscar winner Denzel Washington, NAACP executive director Vicangelo Bullock, Hip-Hop founder Kool Herc, cable industry veteran Professor Sal Martino, and real estate mogul Curtis Oakes. While seen as a risky business endeavor, Miller states he’s planned this venture for several years and feels he has gathered a strong team to uphold his vision. “I believe that there is a market in our community for a new diverse network,” he explains. “(A network) that provides superior programming that caters to all aspects of television, from reality to original programming. We believe TV content can be positive and responsible and still have good ratings with great content.” Aware that his network will be seen as a direct challenge to Viacom and its BET and MTV brands, Miller remained diplomatic on his competition. “I have a great relationship with BET and MTV and will continue to work with them and support their networks,” he states. Miller also had kind words for controversial BET founder Bob Johnson, who he credits as a mentor to his cable network plans. “I remember him telling me back in the day that if you wanted to know real estate, you’ve got to hang out with real estate investors,” Miller explicates. “If you wanted to know sports, you’ve got to hang out with athletes. I wanted to know TV, so I hung out with Bob and learned the TV game from one of the best in the business.” BBTV’s news programs have begun airing in Florida, Louisiana, California, and New York. At press time, the network is purchasing local cable channel affiliates in preparation for its 2009 debut.

Thank you P. There is a God… And, my mother gave me the same advice. Bottom line–birds of a feather flock together. Again, thank you for this wholesome venture. I know that the days of Leave It to Beaver, Lassie ect are long behind us, but hopefully BBTV will help reunite the family time (meals around the table). Wow, I applaud your efforts…You’re already a success.

I know that people will disagree with me… but my brother is very involved in politix, and he explained a lil bout this to me… but more of America is republican than democratic… and the hillary supporters r now goin for mccain… cus obama beat her… but to get those and more supporters back, he will need to pick her as his vp… if he doesent do that, he will have a less of a chance at becoming the president ((because all those hillary fans dont wanna go for obama, cus he beat her…))

So far so good for Obama, but this agreement to give Hillary all this concession may well prove to be the dems undoing. Listen, HILLARY CLINTON LOST! That’s it; That’s all. If Barack had lost, do you think the Clintons would have let him upstage them on what will be the second biggest night of her political career. (winning the presidency being the first)? I don’t think so and no one who is honest does either. They would have relegated Obama to the position of honorable mention and called it a night. I also don’t believe, as many do, that Hillary would have picked Barack as her running mate had she won. You can see all the subtle, hateful, and selfish comments coming from Bill regarding Obama’s qualifications to be president, to know the kind of cold-shouldered treatment he would have experienced had the shoe been on the other foot. This also is disrespectful to Obama and a way of robbing him of some of the thunder of his victory. Why does her backers need her name placed in nomination? Why would Hillary even accept it? It makes both her and her supporters look like sore losers and it still doesn’t guarantee that they’ll vote for Obama after they get what they want anyway. How do they justify that? And why is the Obama camp agreeing to that mess? I’m all for Hillary speaking on one the nights and I’m even cool with Bill, although I believe he disqualified himself by making those comments about Barack’s qualifications. That doesn’t lend itself to unifying the party.
Everything that has come out of the Clinton camp, especially since Hillary lost the democratic nod for the POTUS has been angry. They just do it passively and I believe that its code for white voters to vote against Obama in November, so that Hillary can run again in 2012 and basically tell the DNC, “You see. I told you so”. Time will tell if I’m right, but this may be one of Barack’s few, yet the biggest mis-step of his campaign.

Umlaw, you need to worship the creator not the creation. Yes, I do agree that Asian people are very intelligent and have to work very hard for education. One of the major reasons is that they come from countries of very large populations. Black people would not have gotten as far as they have without help from white people to end slavery or other issues. But they act like they have done it all on their own. And we know that’s not the truth. Black people would do better if they would stop having the attitude of wanting a hand-out. and blaming people for their behavior. That’s not just in American. That’s around the world. Look at Africa. The countries that have black governments are always wanting world welfare. I do realize that slavery was terrible thing, but the whites were not the only one who involved or started it. The Arabs in Northern Africa in the Sahara area had been enslaving blacks for thousands of years and the black chiefs when they made raids they would, after conquering, would get rid of their rivalry to anybody that would take them. When certain European countries knew of this, they got involved for their reasons. So blacks are blaming whites for what Arabs and blacks have been doing for thousands of years. I am never heard any of African Americans ever talking publicly about the Arabs for what they had done. Do not forget North Africa is not controled by blacks. It is controlled by Arabs from Morocco to Egypt. That’ doesn’t sound like black names. When slavery was a political issue in the New World (that means before America became a country) At the beginning of the 13th colonies on the east coast slavery did exist, but it was not only the blacks. It was whites, Indians, Asians. In the 13th colonies black slavery was not really permanent. I am of Irish descent and when my ancestors were brought to North Carolina, their contracts or bought by a color family in 1733. I did check my family genealogy and I have talked to the colored family who owned my ancestors that were white, so when I hear of African Americans talking about reparation, does this mean blacks owe me? Me personally I think reparations is another way of wanting a hand-out for something else someone else suffered. If that were the case, the Native Americans would want reparations from the blacks for helping the whites right after the Civil War putting Indians on reservations. Read up on the buffalo soldiers. This issue of reparations could keep going on and on, stop blaming people of other colors for black behavior or participation in bad behavior. America is not a perfect country, but it is the best country on the planet earth. If a person does not like where they are, then go back from the continent you came from. You will see real problems. I do think racism that was done to the blacks is wrong and to anyone. But do not forget racism is not only a external issue. It is also a internal issue. So people have to look at their own house before they look at other people’s house. The last time I looked at a global map we all live on the same planet. Slavery in Africa stills today. Go to the United Nations web site and read up on Sudan, and you will read it for yourself. Freedom has responsibilities, not hand-outs.
