Umlaw, you need to worship the creator not the creation. Yes, I do agree that Asian people are very intelligent and have to work very hard for education. One of the major reasons is that they come from countries of very large populations. Black people would not have gotten as far as they have without help from white people to end slavery or other issues. But they act like they have done it all on their own. And we know that’s not the truth. Black people would do better if they would stop having the attitude of wanting a hand-out. and blaming people for their behavior. That’s not just in American. That’s around the world. Look at Africa. The countries that have black governments are always wanting world welfare. I do realize that slavery was terrible thing, but the whites were not the only one who involved or started it. The Arabs in Northern Africa in the Sahara area had been enslaving blacks for thousands of years and the black chiefs when they made raids they would, after conquering, would get rid of their rivalry to anybody that would take them. When certain European countries knew of this, they got involved for their reasons. So blacks are blaming whites for what Arabs and blacks have been doing for thousands of years. I am never heard any of African Americans ever talking publicly about the Arabs for what they had done. Do not forget North Africa is not controled by blacks. It is controlled by Arabs from Morocco to Egypt. That’ doesn’t sound like black names. When slavery was a political issue in the New World (that means before America became a country) At the beginning of the 13th colonies on the east coast slavery did exist, but it was not only the blacks. It was whites, Indians, Asians. In the 13th colonies black slavery was not really permanent. I am of Irish descent and when my ancestors were brought to North Carolina, their contracts or bought by a color family in 1733. I did check my family genealogy and I have talked to the colored family who owned my ancestors that were white, so when I hear of African Americans talking about reparation, does this mean blacks owe me? Me personally I think reparations is another way of wanting a hand-out for something else someone else suffered. If that were the case, the Native Americans would want reparations from the blacks for helping the whites right after the Civil War putting Indians on reservations. Read up on the buffalo soldiers. This issue of reparations could keep going on and on, stop blaming people of other colors for black behavior or participation in bad behavior. America is not a perfect country, but it is the best country on the planet earth. If a person does not like where they are, then go back from the continent you came from. You will see real problems. I do think racism that was done to the blacks is wrong and to anyone. But do not forget racism is not only a external issue. It is also a internal issue. So people have to look at their own house before they look at other people’s house. The last time I looked at a global map we all live on the same planet. Slavery in Africa stills today. Go to the United Nations web site and read up on Sudan, and you will read it for yourself. Freedom has responsibilities, not hand-outs.
