Police shoot a man who beat a toddler to death
June 17th, 2008The suspect pulled along a California road, where he stomped the child.
The police bullets that killed a 27-year-old northern California man were too late. When officers in Stanislaus County rolled up on the man along a dark, country road Saturday night, they saw him kicking, punching and stomping a toddler. They fired, killing the unidentified man, but not before the man had killed the child, estimated by the Stanislaus County coroner to be between 1 and 2 years old. “It’s been a long night of wondering, ‘Why?’ – not only for the officers and the passers-by who stopped and tried to help out, but for anyone. Why would somebody do this?” said sheriff’s deputy Royjindar Singh. Authorities say they do not know the relationship between the child and the man. The injuries were so severe, Singh said, that the child will have to be identified through a blood or DNA test. The suspect’s four-door pickup truck had a child’s car seat in the back; it caught the attention of an elderly couple late Saturday evening because it had stopped in a two-lane road, facing the wrong direction, Singh told The Associated Press. When they got closer, the couple saw the man pummeling the child behind the truck and throw him to the ground, the deputy said. “What we got from witnesses is he was punching, slapping, kicking, stomping, shaking,” Singh said. “They tried to intervene and get involved, but their efforts really didn’t have an effect. The suspect was engaged in what he was doing. He just pushed them off and went back to it.” Paramedics tried unsuccessfully to resuscitate the toddler, who was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Like most of you guys my heart is breaking just reading this gruesome article. I have a 3yr old and a 4mth old and I can only imagine the terror that poor baby felt. My prayers are for our children in this day and time. They don’t stand a chance, if we don’t pray for them, they won’t have a future. As for the monster that did it, the bible says, “an eye for and eye”, so he got want he deserve unfortunately he probably didn’t suffer like that poor baby. My prayers are with the family of that child.

This is a typical day in the United States. Somewhere, a child is being murdered by the hands of an adult, note under the age of 5. Life is not that hard?………..Please
This is wrong, but he should have been shot in both legs, drug behind the pickup until there wasnt any more meat on his bones.
THIS MAKES ME SICK! AT NIGHT I PRAY FOR ALL THE BABIES WE DON’T EVEN KNOW ABOUT OR WHAT THEY’RE GOING THROUGH AT THE HANDS OF THESE SICK ANIMALS. THIS BABY COULD’NT EVEN DEFEND ITSELF. HE/SHE IS IN GODS GENTLE HANDS NOW.
Everybody the man is dead!Reading this gave me chills because I can just imagine how that baby felt confused and scared.That was plain torture the police should have BEAT THE BRAKES off of him & then shot him!RIP little BABY.
That’s just devastaing reading that and a little baby getting beat too death. I mean that just makes you want too cry and im glad people were able too see because maybe if they were not there too witness. The poor little child probably would have went missing. OMG! This is crazy,I am a mother of 2 and this stort hurt me to my soul when I heard it on the news and read about it. But what I cant begain to understand is how the hell did “several people” stand by and watch this animal beat this child like that.there is nothin in this world that would have stopped me from saving this child or at least tryin I mean really trying.May god be with the mother, R.I.P little one,and To those who claimed that they tried to help. You have this childs blood on your hands, how do you sleep at night. This is my opinion not meant to offend anyone. Rot in hell to the animal who did this!
