College Republican chief is forced to resign. The head of the Pennsylvania Federation of College Republicans gave up his seat this week after getting slammed for a racist comment he posted online about Sen. Barack Obama. In late July, Adam LaDuca, 21, a senior at Kutztown University, wrote on his Facebook page that Obama has “a pair of lips so large he could float half of Cuba to the shores of Miami (and probably would.)” But it’s not the first time LaDuca has fired off barbs at prominent Black leaders. Among his other gems, he called Martin Luther King Jr. a “pariah” and a “fraud” and that “Man, if sayin’ someone has large lips is a racial slur, then we’re ALL in trouble.” But his slurs were even too much for his fellow College Republicans, who asked him to step down. The remarks blew up after they were publicized in the Pennsylvania Progressive, a blog written by a Democratic committeeman from Berks County. “The comments were completely uncalled for and very offensive,” said Anthony Pugliese, 22, a senior at West Chester University and chairman of the College Republicans, which has more than 50 chapters statewide. “The P-A College Republicans do not accept or tolerate racism in any way.” DaLuca said he wishes he hadn’t published the big-lips comment. “In hindsight, when you read it a second time, it’s like, ‘oops,’” he said. “It was just a dumb move on my part to make a statement like that public.”

The ..”Nutty professor”..I know just what happen!! He took to much of that formula and his lips got bigger than Mr Obamas and he could not controll his speach. You see given the facts you can explain anything!!!
And Republicans wonder why there are very few black Republicans. Maybe they shouldn’t with comments like that. I know it is only one voice out of the Republican party but how many others feel the same way and are just not stupid enough to voice their opinions publicly. I also would like to point out that they do have David Duke tooting the Republican horn due to the fact that Democrats didn’t embrace his views. Once again, maybe Republicans shouldn’t be surprised that there are so few black Republicans.
What is the relevance of Obama’s lips. Barack is 1/2 white and was raised by a Caucasian person…and hung out with whites for a majority of his life. Blacks are so uneducated to think that just because a biracial President goes to office that Black community is going to change drastically??? Learn about the checks and balances in the US government….please GET EDUCATED and stop posting stupid comments. He is not your messiah!
UMlaw u need to get educated yourself. what does his upbringing have to do with the economic issues and energy policies obama want to do to help america. think before you write better yet look at the news and do your research. the economy is in a world of trouble and we have a leader that wants to put up the effort to make the necessary changes. its time for change.
UMLaw you seem to spend alot of time worrying about the education level of African American saying that we need to get educations. In reality you dont really want African Americans to have an education because you already know what happens when African Americans educated themselves you get a Michelle and Barack Obama and that is your greatest. As a person who is in the process of recieving a degree I know that African American excel at many things more than any other race you know like sports, music, dancing, I mena you name it we do it and do it better. You may be educated but it doesn’t take a genious to know that if you do not like something why blog on their website. I was raised around all cultures and I am no racist but I think many republicans are and you are. I am a pre-law student so I know about checks and balances it is your president bush who doesn’t know about checks and balances. We will win seats in the House and the Senate so the checks and balances will be there but you wont. We do not believe that Obama is the messiah but what he is happens to be something you will never understa nd… ;… ..A brother and as brothers and sisters we will support him. Definately not McCain he would not even support MLK day in Arizona, 7 houses cheated on his first wife with his wife now no morals and a war monger. Obama is our brother you are not so stay in your station!!!
Miss Understood. Strange name when it sounds like you have absolutely no understanding at all. First of all, you should check your spelling before you blog if you want to sound at all intelligent. Second, why does it make someone a racist just because they believe in what John McCain has to offer. Being a Republican does not equal racism, you being the athlete, musician, and dancer that you are should know such things. What kind of a comment is “stay in your station?” Do you really feel comments such as that will bring our country together? Its alright for people to disagree and have different views. The best that we can do for our country is to work together on our issues. Try to remember that.
